I was on the edge last year when they started pissing on the national anthem and flag, and I was hoping that the NFL would have had enough sense to put an end to it, but they didn't, when in fact just the opposite is true. Now players are starting their political and BLM crap right on the field... so I'm done...

Looks like I'm not the only one that's done... more and more people are tuning it out...

Send a memo around to every team and player:

Any such displays going forward on the field will be met with a 15 yard unnecessary penalty, and a $50,000 fine to the player.

Sounds excessive? Players are fined every week for all kinds of penalties that are "normal" during the game, not political crap that reflects shitty on the team and the league.

I guess the NFL would rather let them continue this garbage and lose money.

I guess the NFL would rather let them continue this garbage and lose money. They'll take the chance, and probably come out ahead. Patriotism over the NFL? Not in a LOT of places. The NFL would likely lose more being attacked by the left for going against them.

I say let all the black players that have it so bad in the NFL go home and get a real job like Kaeperdick, cuz he's doing so well. Some white boys would probabllove to fill those slots on the roster.

They're not coming out ahead yet with viewership taking a dive.

And the left has been attacking them, Gunny. This is their newest pet peeve in the pussification of America...

Yeah, more minding other people's business. It's a GAME. Played it from age 9 until I was a Sgt. Don't want to get hurt? Don't play. THAT simple. You get hurt? Don't whine. I took worse hits in martial arts than in football. But the busy-bodies are after that sport too.

Don't watch. I rarely do. I can't stand the officiating. Even with instant replay the officials make crucial call that determine the outcome of games. Here's how far the game has come/sunk: In the 1970's Ernie Ladd made more money in pro wrestling than he did the NFL. Players had to have day jobs back then. They played because they loved the game. That changed when Eric Dickerson got away with holding up the LA Rams whole team and they caved to him. Gone down hill since.

I get the patriotism thing. I was raised in the military. Dad's a retired CMSGT and my grandfather is a retired Army SgtMaj. I'm a retired Marine. But you know what? I just don't expect any better from a certain segment of our society. They're going to cry about something no matter what. And they are going to offend people for no reason other than offending them, no matter what.

Unfortunately, they have the Right to be morons with the freedom someone else earned for them.

College games. On Saturday's, with FEWER commercials, and the games are pretty close to being SIXTY MINUTES long....unless; it's on ABC, CBS, or NBC. Then, like the pro games...you have time for potty breaks, food breaks, naps, yard work, and visits with family and friends.

Recording the games, and fast forwarding all the commercials is the next best thing.

The Los Angeles Rams (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/los-angeles-rams) are trending upward. A rocky first season in L.A. gave way to a 1-0 start in 2017. Last year’s worst offensive team exploded for 46 points against the Colts (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/indianapolis-colts), giving former No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/277391/jared-goff) his first win as a starting quarterback and setting the tone for a promising year.

The local fans, however, haven’t seemed to notice.

The Rams hosted Washington on Sunday in front of a mostly-empty stadium, casting doubt on whether the City of Angels is a premier market for one NFL franchise, let alone two. The red and white seatbacks of Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum were plainly visible throughout the first quarter as a smattering of fans took in the action live.

When sports (and entertainment in general) become a political platform for special snowflakes, I stop watching.

That's rough! At least you didn't call them the local pinochle team that my aunt always played for!
