Feinstein: No law would have stopped Las Vegas gunman

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said in an interview broadcast Sunday that no law could have stopped the suspected shooter, Stephen Paddock, who was behind last week's mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Feinstein spoke on CBS News’s “Face the Nation” about gun legislation in the wake of the attack launched from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel targeting a country music concert.

“Could there have been any law passed that would've stopped him?” Host John Dickerson asked the senator.

“No, he passed background checks registering for handguns and other weapons on multiple occasions,” Feinstein replied.

Feinstein’s remark comes as Republicans have started to express interest in a conversation about regulations for bump stock devices, which were found in the hotel room of the suspected gunman. The devices increase the possible rate of gun fire on semi-automatic weapons.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) following last week’s mass shooting said devices like bump stocks “should be subject to additional regulations,” though it did not call for new gun legislation.

Feinstein, who is pushing legislation to ban bump stocks, said there is “Republican interest” in the bill.

Rest - http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/354440-feinstein-no-law-would-have-stopped-las-vegas-gunmanI'm as pro-gun as it gets. I think you should still be able to get one at the hardware store. They're just tools to me.

I also think calling it a "bump stop" is just a way of getting around Joe Average owning fully automatic weapons, and calling a silencer a "suppressor" to help shooters' hearing is bullshit. In 21 years on active duty I never once had to put my rifle on full auto and the ear plugs and/or "Mickey Mouse Ears" worked just fine for our hearing. So I see the NEED for either.

EXCEPT ... it's just the left dragging gun owners and the 2nd Amendment down its slippery slope.

Give them (Liberals) an inch and they will try and go for a mile....banning Bump stocks is a joke...They are useless to serious shooters...they cause over-heating... jamming and accuracy would suck.....only way they will work is if one has 7 or more long arms outfitted with them...one jam`s...pick up another to continue firing...banning them would only empower leftist to take another step towards the original goal...banning Guns..

WASHINGTON (BHN) - Sen. Diane Feinstein (RTRD-Ca) wasted no time in capitalizing on Monday's mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, by claiming guns are deliberately making many otherwise-normal individuals mentally unstable.

In a hurriedly-called press conference, the California Democrat said, "I ask you, why are these shooters always crazy? The reason is obvious, guns make people go insane - I know the only time I ever held one, I wet myself and attempted to shoot my nephew in the face. Than God it was unloaded."

Feinstein is well known for her work in reducing gun-related injuries and tirelessly promoting the killing of unborn children."

Look at this insane Liberal face.....:thumb:http://i.huffpost.com/gen/2370198/thumbs/o-DIANNE-FEINSTEIN-facebook.jpg
