Clinton ‘Uranium Deal’ & Russia: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

President Donald Trump attempted to throw attention toward Bill and Hillary Clinton and Russia – specifically a supposed uranium deal.
Trump, under repeated fire for his own campaign’s alleged ties to Russia, wrote (https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/846533818811080704) on March 27, “Why isn’t the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia, Russian speech….”

What is Trump talking about? Did Bill and Hillary Clinton make a deal that “allowed big Uranium” to go to Russia?
It’s not a new claim by Trump, as it turns out.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. The Claim Dates to a Clinton Foundation Donor Named Frank Giustrahttps://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2016/12/gettyimages-621745094-e1482200577712.jpg?quality=65&strip=all&w=780&strip=allHillary Clinton. (Getty)

The Washington Post wrote (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/10/26/the-facts-behind-trumps-repeated-claim-about-hillary-clintons-role-in-the-russian-uranium-deal/?utm_term=.92a1554b1a8e) an exhaustive article about the uranium question when Trump raised it during the presidential campaign.
The Post reported that the claim derived from a book called Clinton Cash and a New York Times article about that book.
According to The Washington Post, the players involved were “Frank Giustra, a Canadian mining financier and donor to the Clinton Foundation; Giustra’s company, UrAsia; and Uranium One, a uranium mining company headquartered in Toronto.”
Factcheck.org reported (http://www.factcheck.org/2016/10/a-false-corruption-claim/) on the same 2015 New York Times story that recounted “how the Clinton Foundation had received millions in donations from investors in Uranium One, a Canadian-based company that sold a controlling stake in 2010 to Rosatom, the Russian nuclear energy agency, in a deal that had to be approved by the U.S. government.”
The site reported that the Clinton Foundation did not disclose the donations “even though then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had an agreement with the White House that the foundation would disclose all contributors.”
The Clinton Foundation acknowledged (https://www.clintonfoundation.org/blog/2015/04/26/commitment-honesty-transparency-and-accountability) “we made mistakes, as many organizations of our size do, but we are acting quickly to remedy them.”
The New York Times story had reported (https://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-uranium-company.html?_r=0&mtrref=www.politifact.com&gwh=35F27C8CFBB1901CB7B43B0B8D3B16A4&gwt=pay&assetType=nyt_now): “As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million.”
2. Russia Bought a Controlling Stake in Uranium Onehttps://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2016/12/gettyimages-630455312-e1483045521859.jpg?quality=65&strip=all&w=780&strip=allRussian President Vladimir Putin. (Getty)

Politifact also conducted (http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2016/sep/30/donald-trump/nuclear-claim-donald-trump-says-hillary-clinton-ga/) a detailed review of the Trump-Clinton uranium claims.
According to the site, “Russia’s nuclear energy agency, which also builds nuclear weapons, bought a controlling stake in Uranium One. The company has mines, mills and tracts of land in Wyoming, Utah and other U.S. states equal to about 20 percent of U.S. uranium production capacity.”
The New York Times reported (https://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-uranium-company.html?_r=0&mtrref=www.politifact.com&gwh=35F27C8CFBB1901CB7B43B0B8D3B16A4&gwt=pay&assetType=nyt_now) in 2015 that Russian President Vladimir Putin crowed about the deal, with a Pravda newspaper headline trumpeting: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.”
According to The Times, “The deal made Rosatom one of the world’s largest uranium producers and brought Mr. Putin closer to his goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.”

3. The State Department Signed Off on the Deal but Hillary Clinton Wasn’t Involved, Her Campaign Contendedhttps://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2017/01/gettyimages-632199428.jpg?quality=65&strip=all&w=780&strip=allHillary Clinton. (Getty)

The Washington Post reports that the State Department was involved.
“The State Department was one of nine agencies comprising CFIUS, which vets potential national security impacts of transactions where a foreign government gains control of a U.S. company,” The Post wrote.
The Post noted that Clinton’s campaign said “Clinton herself was not involved in the State Department’s review and did not direct the department to take any position on the sale of Uranium One.”
However, the New York Times article, from 2015, noted, “Shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”

4.Donald Trump Claimed During the Campaign That Hillary Clinton Gave 20 Percent of America’s Uranium to Russiahttps://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/gettyimages-628833102-e1490196969654.jpg?quality=65&strip=all&w=780&strip=allDonald Trump.(Getty)

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump lodged the uranium accusation during a campaign rally.
According to Politifact, (http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2016/sep/30/donald-trump/nuclear-claim-donald-trump-says-hillary-clinton-ga/) Trump said that Hillary Clinton “gave up 20 percent of America’s uranium supply to Russia — to Russia.”
Politifact ranked the claim (http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2016/sep/30/donald-trump/nuclear-claim-donald-trump-says-hillary-clinton-ga/) “mostly false” because there was no evidence of a quid pro quo. According to Politifact, “The State Department did approve the Uranium One deal, but it didn’t act unilaterally. It was one of nine U.S. government agencies, plus independent federal and state nuclear regulators, that had to sign off on the deal.”
Factcheck.org reported that Trump falsely tried to characterize the uranium deal as a pay for play scheme by Hillary Clinton.
“In a TV ad, Donald Trump falsely claims that Hillary Clinton ‘handed over American uranium rights to the Russians’ as part of a ‘pay-to-play’ scheme to get ‘filthy rich.’ Clinton did not have the authority to unilaterally approve that deal,” Factcheck.org reported. (http://www.factcheck.org/2016/10/a-false-corruption-claim/)
The New York Times story reported that Clinton’s campaign had “emphasized that multiple United States agencies, as well as the Canadian government, had signed off on the deal and that, in general, such matters were handled at a level below the secretary.”

5. The Claim originated From a Conservative Author & Subsequent Article in the New York Timeshttps://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2016/06/gettyimages-5387189761-e1465362982160.jpg?quality=65&strip=all&w=780&strip=allBill and Hillary Clinton. (Getty)

According to Fact Check.org, the uranium deal claim derives from the book “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich,” which was written by Peter Schweizer, “a former fellow at a conservative think tank.”
The New York Times then wrote (https://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-uranium-company.html?_r=0&mtrref=www.politifact.com&gwh=35F27C8CFBB1901CB7B43B0B8D3B16A4&gwt=pay&assetType=nyt_now) the follow-up investigative article in 2015 headlined, “Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal.”
The Times found that “whether the donations played any role in the approval of the uranium deal is unknown” but said the donations and deal raised ethical challenges.

Plenty of homosexuality in Muslim countries except mostly underground? From what I read, homosexuals in Muslim countries that get caught have part of their bodies cut off, and what's left ends up 6 feet underground.

I've always wondered why the homosexual community saves all of their vitriol for Christians, when Christians are mostly tolerant and completely non-violent toward them. Is it just that they don't fear reprisals?

The evidence against this woman's corruption and illegal deeds just never ends. And this one ends up with more money going to the Clinton's. When is this investigation going to start?

Report: FBI Uncovers Confirmation of Hillary Clinton’s Corrupt Uranium Deal with Russia

New evidence has emerged to confirm Peter Schweizer’s account in his bestselling book Clinton Cash about the corrupt tactics behind former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s approval of Russia’s purchase of 20 percent of U.S. uranium.
Josh Solomon and Alison Spann report in The Hill:

Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.

The racketeering scheme was conducted “with the consent of higher level officials” in Russia who “shared the proceeds” from the kickbacks, one agent declared in an affidavit years later.

Rather than bring immediate charges in 2010, however, the Department of Justice (DOJ) continued investigating the matter for nearly four more years, essentially leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil during a period when the Obama administration made two major decisions benefitting Putin’s commercial nuclear ambitions.

I think Jeff Sessions and much of the republican congress are absolute FAILURES... GUTLESS, SPINELESS, WORTHLESS FAILURES.

But OH BOY, they just couldn't ILLEGALLY appoint a S.C. FAST enough to investigate president Trump for a crime that they had no PROOF of, and STILL don't.

WHY the democrats, Hitlery, Lynch, Comey, Holder, the list goes on, and CLEAR violations of the LAW are just skating around scott free as though laws DON'T APPLY TO THEM is just MIND BOGGLING... and INFURIATING.

`News broke Tuesday that the FBI allegedly buried evidence tying the Clinton Foundation to a Russian bribery scheme related to U.S. uranium reserves.

...According to reports, the FBI had evidence dating back as early as 2009 that indicated Russian nuclear officials were giving kickbacks to the Clinton Foundation while then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that approved a uranium deal with a state-owned Russian company.

The story was apparently too unimportant to be covered by the “big three” broadcast networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC, as they all refused to spend airtime on it Tuesday.`

**The media loves to speculate that President Trump and his campaign colluded with Russia, but they’ve refused to cover similar allegations with the Clintons

You want to know where the REAL Russian scandal is at?

Right THE FUCK here... http://www.nationalreview.com/article/452972/uranium-one-deal-obama-administration-doj-hillary-clinton-racketeering

Not only the Clintons are implicated in a uranium deal with the Russians that compromised national-security interests. Let’s put the Uranium One scandal in perspective: The cool half-million bucks the Putin regime funneled to Bill Clinton was five times the amount it spent on those Facebook ads — the ones the media-Democrat complex ludicrously suggests swung the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. The Facebook-ad buy, which started in June 2015 — before Donald Trump entered the race — was more left-wing agitprop (ads pushing hysteria on racism, immigration, guns, etc.) than electioneering. The Clintons’ own long-time political strategist Mark Penn estimates that just $6,500 went to actual electioneering. (You read that right: 65 hundred dollars.) By contrast, the staggering $500,000 payday from a Kremlin-tied Russian bank for a single speech was part of a multi-million-dollar influence-peddling scheme to enrich the former president and his wife, then–secretary of state Hillary Clinton. At the time, Russia was plotting — successfully — to secure U.S. government approval for its acquisition of Uranium One, and with it, tens of billions of dollars in U.S. uranium reserves.

Here’s the kicker: The Uranium One scandal is not only, or even principally, a Clinton scandal. It is an Obama-administration scandal.

At least he wasn't the one who allowed this all to happen. And for all we know, investigations have begun behind the scenes.

And while you apparently hold Sessions responsible - I noticed nothing whatsoever about anyone on the Dem side and this entire scandal. Are you not concerned at all about what took place here, and who might have been involved? And whether or not there was anything illegal going on? Or why the Clinton Foundation made money while this all happened?

Dan Gainor: Media Obsessed with Trump Russia Conspiracy Ignoring Clinton Uranium One

Media Research Center Vice President of Business and Culture Dan Gainor joined Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Raheem Kassam on Monday to discuss the media’s refusal to touch the Hillary Clinton Uranium One story and other topics.

Gainor praised the Hill for breaking the story on the Clintons while pointing out that most establishment media outlets do not want to cover it.

“The major media didn’t want to cover it,” said Gainor. “In fact, yesterday on Face the Nation, John Dickerson was one of the first major media people on CBS, ABC, or NBC to even discuss it. That’s five days after the Hill had the story.”

Gainor added, “The media has spent endless hours promoting this Russia connection for Trump that they’ve never been able to prove. They’ve been talking about it since October of last year. And here you’ve got new allegations actually tying Hillary Clinton to something, and they don’t want to cover it at all.”

He went on to point out the need for more conservative journalism to combat the significant imbalance as compared to the left.

What's your take on this pete311 ? I know you were quite interested all the way through the Trump accusations from day one, so I figured you would be all over this Uranium crap AND the Clinton's making personal profit off of it!!

How much do you think Obama knew about all of this? Any of it? Do you think he helped, or helped cover anything up? Just your opinion of course.

Timeline: Uranium Exec. Gave $31.3 Million to Clinton Foundation, Russian Bank Paid $500K to Bill Clinton

Presented below is a timeline of events involving former President Bill Clinton, uranium mining deals in Kazakhstan, multi-million dollar donations to the Clinton Foundation, and the U.S.-government approved sale of Uranium One to the Russian state-owned Rosatom, a purchase now under investigation by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-Iowa).

Information for this timeline is taken from two articles in The New York Times that were respectively published on Jan. 31, 2008 and April 23, 2015 – After Mining Deal, Financier Donated to Clinton and Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal. (They are designated in the timeline as NYT 1/31/08 and NYT 4/23/15.)

August 2005: Canadian mining executive Frank Giustra directs his newly formed company, UrAsia Energy Ltd., to send an engineering consultant to Kazakhstan to assess several uranium mines. (NYT 1/31/08)

Sept. 6, 2005: Frank Giustra, on his private jet, flies former President Bill Clinton to Kazakhstan, a former Soviet Republic. (NYT 1/31/08)

After landing in the city of Almaty, Giustra and Clinton have dinner with Kazakhstan’s authoritarian president, Nursultan Nazarbayev. During the visit, Giustra reportedly speaks about his mining interests with Nazarbayev. (NYT 1/31/08)

In Almaty, Bill Clinton praises Nazarbayev for “opening up the social and political life of your country,” and he endorses Kazakhstan’s bid to head the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, a view in contrast with the U.S. government’s position. (NYT 1/31/08)

Clinton’s remarks hand “the Kazakh president a propaganda coup” and Kazhakhstan highlights Clinton’s endorsement in news releases. (NYT 4/23/15)

Sept. 8/9, 2005: Guistra’s “fledgling company, UrAsia Energy Ltd., signed a preliminary deal giving it stakes in three uranium mines controlled by the state-run uranium agency KazAtomProm.” (NYT 4/23/15)

KazAtomProm had to approve the deal, according to its then-CEO Moukhtar Dzhakishev and, he added, President Nazarbayev ultimately signed off on the transaction. (NYT 1/31/08)

“The monster deal stunned the mining industry, turning an unknown shell company [UrAsia Energy Ltd.] into one of the world’s largest uranium producers in a transaction ultimately worth tens of millions of dollars to Mr. Giustra, analysts said.” (NYT 1/31/08)

2006: Frank Giustra donates $31.3 million to the Clinton Foundation. (Neither Giustra nor Clinton disclose precisely when the donation was made.) (NYT 1/31/08)

September 2006: Giustra co-produces a gala for Bill Clinton’s 60th birthday, which raises $21 million for the Clinton Foundation. (NYT 1/31/08)

February 2007: Giustra’s company, UrAsia Energy, merges with Vancouver-based Uranium One, a reported $3.5 billion deal. In Uranium One, UrAsia Energy is still controlled by one of its investors, Ian Telfer, a Canadian. (NYT 4/23/15)

February 2007: KazAtomProm CEO Moukhtar Dzhakishev travels to Chappaqua, N.Y. and meets with Bill Clinton in his home, a meeting arranged by Frank Giustra. Clinton and Giustra at first denied to the New York Times that the meeting occurred but when presented with facts about the meeting, “both men acknowledged it.” Giustra also admitted that he arranged the gathering, claiming that the event “escaped my memory until you raised it.” (NYT 1/31/08)

“Mr. Dzhakishev said he had a vivid memory of his Chappaqua visit, and a souvenir to prove it: a photograph of himself with the former president. ‘I hung up the photograph of us and people ask me if I met with Clinton and I say, Yes, I met with Clinton.’ He said, smiling proudly.” (NYT 1/31/08)

2007: Ian Telfer donates no more than $250,000 to the Clinton Foundation. (NYT 4/23/15)

2007: Frank Giustra sells his stake in the Uranium One merger for a reported $45 million. (NYT 4/23/15)

April 2007: In addition to its newly acquired assets in Kazakhstan, Uranium One starts buying uranium mines in Utah, Wyoming, Texas and Utah. (NYT 4/23/15)

May-June 2009: KazAtomProm CEO Moukhtar Dzhakishev is removed from his position and arrested “on charges that he illegally sold uranium deposits to foreign companies, including at least some of those won by Mr. Giustra’s UrAsia and now owned by Uranium One.” (NYT 4/23/15)

June 2009: Rosatom, the Russian Federation state corporation that oversees nuclear energy, seeks to buy into Uranium One. (NYT 4/23/15)

Mid-June 2009: ARMZ, “a wholly owned subsidiary of Rosatom completed a deal for 17 percent of Uranium One.” ARMZ/Rosatom takes steps to obtain larger shares in Uranium One and contacts the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States for review and potential approval. (NYT 4/23/15)

2009: Uranium One’s Ian Telfer, through his family charity the Fernwood Foundation, donates $1 million to the Clinton Foundation, “the year his company appealed to the American Embassy to help keep its mines in Kazakhstan.” (NYT 4/23/15)

2010: Telfer, through the Fernwood Foundation, donates $250,000 to the Clinton Foundation, “the year Russians sought majority control” of Uranium One. (NYT 4/23/15)

June 2010: Bill Clinton gives a speech in Moscow for a $500,000 fee, paid for by Renaissance Capital, “a Russian investment bank with ties to the Kremlin,” and whose analysts “talked up Uranium One’s stock,” saying in a July 2010 report “that it was ‘the best play’ in the uranium markets.” (NYT 4/23/15)

October 2010: The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) approves the partial sale of Uranium One to Rosatom, which gives the Russians (and President Vladimir Putin) a 51 percent controlling stake in Uranium One. With this deal, Rosatom controls 20% of U.S. uranium production. Members of CFIUS included, among others, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and Attorney General Eric Holder. (*Bloomberg 10/18/2017 and NYT 4/23/15)

2011: Telfer, through the Ferwood Foundation, donates $600,000 to the Clinton Foundation. (NYT 4/23/15)

2012: Telfer, through the Ferwood Foundation, donates $500,000 to the Clinton Foundation. (NYT 4/23/15)

2009-2012: Between $1.3 million and $5.6 million in contributions were made to the Clinton Foundation by people “with ties to Uranium One or UrAsia, the company that originally acquired Uranium One’s most valuable asset: the Kazakh mines.” (NYT 4/23/15)

Hillary Calls Uranium One Stories ‘Debunked’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the stories about her and former President Clinton helping Russia obtain drilling rights in the U.S. through Uranium One have been “debunked” and are just people peddling “bologna.”

“I would say it’s the same bologna they’ve been peddling for years, and there’s been no credible evidence by anyone. In fact, it’s been debunked repeatedly and will continue to be debunked,” Clinton said in an October interview with C-SPAN.

While Clinton says that anyone who believes that she helped Russia is in the wrong, The New York Times report details how she and her husband directly helped Russia get a vested interest in the U.S. oil market.

The New York Times reported in April 2015 that the Clinton’s had a hand in helping a Russian energy company obtain drilling rights in the U.S. The Russian company had to get State Department help to purchase the Canadian company Uranium One, which made the Russian agency — Rosatom — one of the largest uranium producers in the world. Rosatom purchased the Canadian company — UrAsia — in January 2005, obtaining its uranium stakes stretching from Central Asia to Western America.

Clinton did not back up her assertion the reports are bogus with hard evidence.

“But here is what they are doing and I have to give them credit,” Clinton said on C-SPAN. “Trump and his allies, including Fox News, are really experts at distraction and diversion. So the closer the investigation about real Russian ties between Trump associates and real Russians, as we heard Jeff Sessions finally admit to in his testimony the other day, the more they want to just throw mud on the wall. I’m their favorite target. Me and President Obama, we are the ones they like to put in the cross hairs,” Clinton said.

Leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have donated in excess of $25 million according to the Clinton Foundation’s website, built and eventually sold the Russians the aformentioned company that is today known as Uranium One.

Before the Rosatom acquired the Canadian mining stakes, UrAsia had to obtain the vast uranium stakes it held at the time of the merger.

‘Puts This Country in Danger’: Hannity Unloads On Media Failure to Cover Clinton-Uranium Scandal

Fox News host Sean Hannity is fuming over the media’s refusal to cover the Clinton-Uranium One scandal. Hannity told his radio show listers that ignoring the scandal “puts this country in danger.”

Transcript of Sean Hannity’s statement below via CNS:

It is a disgrace. And let me be just [as] straightforward as I can possibly be: The news media in this country, they just outright lie to you on a regular basis – nonstop almost, a year of conspiracy theories, a year of lies without any evidence, a years [sic] of misleading headlines, a year of false reports that they end up rescinding.

“You know, all the evidence of corruption and criminal conduct in one of the biggest American scandals in history involving national security is right in front of the face of every media person. And it involves their favorite country, Russia, Russia, Russia, and their favorite world leader, Putin, Putin, Putin. And they do nothing. They do nothing. That makes them complicit, and that puts this country in danger. Are you listening Fake Jake, and the rest of you over at fake news?

“All the media cares about is destroying Donald Trump. That’s their only obsession. I don’t even think they’re in touch with their pathological hatred of the president at this point and how agenda driven they are at this point. They know not what they do.”

Coincidences my ass. We all know it, some see it more than others, some won't admit it. But coincidences my ass!

Lynch, the Clintons and a series of fantastic coincidences

I don’t believe in coincidences. Not when it comes to crimes. Especially when they involve political corruption.

No such thing as a coincidence. Doesn’t exist.

Yet, we are led to believe it was merely a coincidence that Bill Clinton just happened to be on the tarmac of an Arizona airport at the same time as then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch. We are supposed to accept that their private meeting on board Lynch’s plane had nothing whatsoever to do with the criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton which the A-G was overseeing at the time.

Right. They just “schmoozed” about grandkids and what-not.

I guess it was also just a coincidence that a few days after the furtive tarmac meeting the decision was announced that criminal charges against Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president, would not be filed, notwithstanding compelling evidence that she repeatedly violated the Espionage Act by storing highly classified documents on her private, unauthorized and unsecured email server in the basement of her home.

Sure. Makes perfect sense. To a naïve, gullible fool.

Maybe it was purely a coincidence that there was another FBI investigation going on involving Russia’s corruption-fueled purchase of U.S uranium assets and which also happened to implicate the Clintons, but was kept hidden from Congress and the American people by Lynch and her predecessor, Eric Holder. Hmm…

And perhaps it was simply an odd coincidence that the investigation of this uranium bribery, extortion, money laundering and kickback case was supervised by then-FBI Director Robert Mueller, his successor James Comey, and then-U.S Attorney Rod Rosenstein, all of whom appear to have covered it up but are now directly involved in the Trump-Russia probe.

Strange confluence of people and events, eh?

I don’t buy any of it. Not for one minute. And not entirely because I don’t believe in coincidences. It is because all the above-mentioned people are known to trifle with the law or ignore disqualifying conflicts of interest. They seem to be without principles --devoid of the kind of scruples that should guide people in service of our government.

Mueller is serving as special counsel in the Trump-Russia case. He reports to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who appointed him.

Yet both Rosenstein and fired FBI Director James Comey are witnesses in the case, since Rosenstein recommended to President Trump that Comey be fired.

It is well established that Comey and Mueller are long-time friends, allies and former partners. How can Mueller be fair and impartial given these glaring conflicts of interest? He cannot. And he should recuse himself. Rosenstein should also step aside in overseeing the case. He cannot be prosecutor and witness simultaneously.

Their conflicts are compounded by recent reports that all three men were involved in the Russian uranium case which was kept hidden from Congress. How can Americans have confidence in the outcome of the Trump-Russia case if they engaged in a cover-up of the Clinton-Russia case?

Which brings us to Hillary and Bill. The Clinton name is synonymous with scandal. The sleazy Whitewater land deals, an illicit affair with a young White House intern that led to impeachment, deceptions following the Benghazi murders, Travelgate, cattle futures, suspected slush funds, evidence of perjury, the list is seemingly endless.

Through it all, the ability of the Clintons to evade indictments would make Houdini proud. They are escape artists of the highest order.

They're as dirty as the day is long, and they all belong in prison, period... the Clintons, Lynch, Comey, Holder, Mueller, Rosenstein, OBAMA... and the list goes on, those turds from the IRS... just sickening... but I have little faith. We all know they're guilty as sin, but we see them get off time and time and time again. There's an initial huge uproar, we all see the crime and corruption, and then the story just quietly goes away and they all walk off Scott free.

That's a good beginning, as I suppose anyone on the left seeing any wrongdoing is a start! :)

Their foundation has long been an issue, IMO, that should have been looked into. Way too many donations from folks that her or Bill were involved in politically, and had decision making power, or connections to folks with that power. Many folks have had LONG prison sentences for much less corruption than this.

“It’s Out There” Wikileaks Shows Clintons Knew Uranium One Was Major Scandal in 2015

Hillary Clinton likes to laugh off the Uranium One scandal as a ‘debunked’ right-wing conspiracy, however; internal emails show the Clinton camp was panicking as the conservative media revealed the dirty details of pay-to-play.

Wikileaks leaked a Podesta email dated 4/29/2015 with the subject line “It’s out there”. (screenshot below) The original email from Tony Carrk (Hillary’s research director) to Jennifer Palmieri (Hillary’s director of communications) and Brian Fallon (CNN hack and Hillary’s press secretary) linked to a Daily Caller article titled, “Firm Co-Founded By Hillary’s Campaign Chair Lobbies For Russia’s Uranium One”.

The Daily Caller article was then forwarded to then-campaign chairman John Podesta with an “FYI”.

Senate records show that The Podesta Group has lobbied the State Department on behalf of Uranium One — once in 2012, when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, and once in 2015.

Uranium One paid The Podesta Group $40,000 to lobby the State Department, the Senate, the National Park Service and the National Security Council for “international mining projects,” according to a July 20, 2012 filing.

https://i.imgur.com/Fz90KDD.png

The Podesta Group which was founded by brothers Tony and John Podesta (although John Podesta hasn’t worked for the company in several years) was paid $40,000 by Uranium One to lobby the State Department, the Senate, the National Park Service and the National Security Council for “international mining projects,” according to a July 20, 2012 filing, Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller reported.

Podesta’s firm continued to make money lobbying for Uranium One in 2015, after Hillary Clinton already left the State Department.

The Podestas are a fixture in the Clinton camp. John Podesta previously served as then-President Bill Clinton’s Chief of Staff and was Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman during the 2016 election. Coincidence?

The Deep State FBI KNEW about this corruption and pay-to-play the entire time.

As previously reported, prior to the Obama administration approving the very controversial deal in 2010 giving Russia 20% of America’s Uranium, the FBI had evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were involved in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering in order to benefit Vladimir Putin, says a report by The Hill.

Hillary Clinton was in the middle of this corruption. All Russian roads lead to Hillary, Podesta and Obama.

The Clintons took the cash from Uranium One officials before the deal was approved by Hillary Clinton’s State Department. The Clintons hid the donations which is a clear violation of the Memorandum of Understanding Hillary Clinton signed with the Obama administration wherein she promised and agreed to publicly disclose all donations during her tenure as Secreatary of State. (Via Breitbart).

The FBI informant working on the case was threatened by the Obama administration after he witnessed the bribery, extortion and money laundering as money exchanged through briefcases and yellow envelopes.

The FBI informant needs an NDA lifted in order for him to testify to Congress. According to a recent report, Jeff Sessions’ DOJ refuses to lift the NDA.

Yes, it’s out there. The Podestas, Clintons, Obamas and other corrupt Obama admin cronies were the ones colluding with Russia, not President Trump.

BOOM! DC Lawyer Says Informant Ties BARACK OBAMA to Uranium One Scandal

Washington DC Lawyer Victoria Toensing Dropped This Bomb on Hannity Tonight—

President Obama received information on Russia’s criminal plot to corner the market on uranium in his daily briefings.
Yet the Obama administration approved the sale of one-fifth of American uranium to the Russians anyway!

Toensing’s client is an American businessman who worked for years undercover as an FBI confidential witness, according to John Solomon and Alison Spann at The Hill. The man was blocked by the Obama Justice Department from telling Congress about conversations and transactions he witnessed related to the Russian nuclear industry’s efforts to win favor with Bill and Hillary Clinton and influence Obama administration decisions, his lawyer tells The Hill.

This is a huge development!
The Obama administration approved sale of uranium to the Russians knowing their criminal intentions!

John Solomon: Just a little bit ago before we came on Victoria and I talked and she was able to confirm to me that her client has information that Director Mueller and President Obama and other officials were briefed on this investigation in real time as it was going on…

Attorney Victoria Toensing: My client was told this information, now maybe the bureau is bluffing but I don’t think so because they were very specific. They said that the briefing made it into President Obama’s daily briefing papers. So I don’t think they made that up.

Sean Hannity: Let me get this straight. So Mueller, Rosenstein, maybe even Comey at the time and the president of the United States, certainly Eric Holder, who was head of the DOJ, they all knew that they had all of this information that the Russians had infiltrated with the purpose of a criminal enterprise to corner the market on uranium, the foundational material for a nuclear bomb.

Sean Hannity: “People Will Be Going to Jail” Over Uranium One Scandal

The Washington Post published a bombshell on the discredited Trump dossier on Tuesday.

As Kristinn Taylor reported earlier on The Gateway Pundit the WaPo article claims the 2016 presidential campaign of Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee paid for the Fusion GPS dossier alleging Russian ties with the presidential campaign of Republican Donald Trump and sordid phony personal smears of Trump.

The Post reported that Clinton campaign and DNC lawyer Marc Elias and his law firm Perkins Coie paid Fusion GPS to continue researching Trump after a Republican donor who originally funded the research pulled out in April 2016.

Tonight Sean Hannity told his audience: “People Will Be Going to Jail” Over Uranium One Scandal

Sean Hannity: Here’s my prediction tonight. People will be going to jail over this… Congress has a duty, a moral obligation, you can’t have a dual justice system. They must investigate these scandals fully and they must uncover the truth of what actually happened. How is it possible, how? That they never recognized that giving Vladimir Putin and the Russians 20 % of our uranium, the material for nuclear weapons, a hostile actor is a good idea? And with Uranium One Congress can start by calling on key Obama administration officials. Eric Holder, Rod Rosenstein and, yes, Robert Mueller, I hope you’re watching!

DOJ Lifts Gag Order on FBI Informant in Obama-era Uranium One Bribery Case

The Justice Department announced Wednesday night that it has rescinded a confidentiality agreement between the FBI and a former FBI informant involved in the Uranium One Russia bribery case, clearing the way for the individual to tell Congress what he knows about the Russian nuclear industry’s attempts to influence policy during the Obama administration.

The DOJ said in a statement that it had authorized the informant to speak to the leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee, the House Oversight Committee, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as select staffers.

The FBI informant at the center of the Uranium One/Clinton Foundation scandal had been blocked by the Obama Justice Department from telling Congress about the corruption he witnessed related to Obama-era uranium deals with Russia.

The corruption allegedly included bribery, kickbacks, extortion, money-laundering, and Russia getting control of 20% of our uranium in what may turn out to be the biggest scandal this country has ever seen.

The department said the informant could provide “any information or documents he has concerning alleged corruption or bribery involving transactions in the uranium market,” including Russian company Rosatom, subsidiary Tenex, Uranium One, and the Clinton Foundation.

Gowdy: Did FBI Rely on a Document That Looks Like the National Enquirer Prepared It?

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) is starting to lose patience with the stonewalling FBI and DOJ.

He told Fox News host Bill Hemmer on "America's Newsroom" this morning that as interesting as the question of who paid for the "dirty dossier" is, the real question is whether the Justice Dept. and the FBI relied upon its dubious "findings" to launch the Russia investigation.

"I want to know whether the nation's premier law enforcement agency relied on a document that looks like the National Enquirer prepared it," Gowdy, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said.

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign helped pay for the opposition research that resulted in the salacious dossier alleging collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Fusion GPS hired former British spy Christopher Steele to conduct the research. Steele went on to share some of his findings with the FBI, which may have used the information to obtain a FISA warrant.

The House Intelligence Committee subpoenaed the FBI and the Justice Dept over two months ago for documents relating to the Russia dossier, but so far neither department has complied. On Sept. 8 Gowdy told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that he doubted that the DOJ subpoena had made it up to Attorney General Jeff Sessions' level. Gowdy figured that the attorney general would soon know because the committee had set a new deadline for both the DOJ and FBI to produce the documents — September 14. That deadline was ignored.

7 Explosive Uranium One Facts Mainstream Media Have Already Confirmed

Hillary Clinton claimed on Monday that the Uranium One scandal engulfing herself and the Obama administration has all been “debunked.”
“It’s the same baloney they’ve been peddling for years, and there’s been no credible evidence by anyone,” said Clinton.

At issue: why Hillary Clinton’s State Department approved the transfer of 20 percent of all U.S. uranium to Putin’s Russia and why nine foreign investors in the deal funneled $145 million to Hillary Clinton’s foundation.

Far from being “debunked,” several mainstream media outlets have confirmed key facts related to the Uranium One scandal—a story first broken by Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer in his New York Times bestselling book, Clinton Cash.

1. CONFIRMED by the New York Times: The former head of Russia’s uranium company (Ian Telfer) made four hidden donations to the Clinton Foundation totaling $2.35 million.

As the New York Times has confirmed: “As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.”

2. CONFIRMED by the New Yorker magazine: Bill Clinton bagged a $500,000 speech in Moscow paid for by a Kremlin-backed bank.

The New Yorker confirmed that Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech paid for by “a Russian investment bank that had ties to the Kremlin.”

“Why was Bill Clinton taking any money from a bank linked to the Kremlin while his wife was Secretary of State?” asked the New Yorker.

Similarly, the New York Times has confirmed that: “shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.

3. CONFIRMED by the New York Times: Despite claims to the contrary, Uranium One has, in fact, exported “yellowcake” out of America and is “routinely packed into drums and trucked off to a processing plant in Canada.”

The New York Times confirmed that: “Asked about that, the commission confirmed that Uranium One has, in fact, shipped yellowcake to Canada even though it does not have an export license.”

4. CONFIRMED by The Hill: The FBI has uncovered “substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering.”

The Hill confirmed last week that the FBI has uncovered “substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering.”

5. CONFIRMED by CNBC: Clinton Foundation mega-donor Frank Holmes claimed he sold Uranium One before Hillary Clinton’s State Department approved the Russian transfer—but his company’s own SEC filings prove otherwise.

On CNBC, Clinton mega donor and uranium executive Frank Holmes claimed he sold his Uranium One stock before Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. approved the transfer of 20% of all U.S. uranium to Putin’s Russia in 2010. Yet according to his company’s (U.S. Global Investors), own 2011 SEC filing, Holmes’ company still hold Uranium One stock, a point he later admitted.

6. CONFIRMED by the New York Times: While eight other agencies had to sign off on approving the transfer of 20 percent of all U.S. uranium to Russia, Hillary Clinton’s State Department was the only government agency headed by an official (Hillary Clinton) whose family foundation received $145 million from foreign investors involved in the uranium deal.

In its financial review of the uranium transaction, the New York Times confirmed that nine foreign investors in the uranium deal flowed a combined $145 million to Hillary Clinton’s family foundation. None of the remaining eight agency heads who approved the uranium transfer received foreign donations to their family’s charities.

7. CONFIRMED by The Hill: FBI agents already have an eyewitness and documents to support the most explosive parts of the Uranium One story.

The Hill confirmed that federal agents have “obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow.”

The United States House and Senate have now launched official probes into the Uranium One scandal.

Hillary Clinton Now Claims She Didn’t Know About the Russia Dossier – Even Though She Paid for It

Hillary Clinton is now claiming she didn’t know about the Russia dossier that her campaign actually paid for until after Buzzfeed published the 35-page document in January of 2017.

So Hillary’s campaign and the DNC paid millions of dollars to a law firm that was gathering oppo research and she had no clue what the hell they were doing? The law firm didn’t communicate with Hillary about this? LOL

** In fact Hillary’s team lied for nearly a year about funding the anti-Trump dossier.

The New York Times reported that Hillary Clinton found out about the dossier after Buzzfeed published the 35 page document.

Officials from the Clinton campaign and the D.N.C. have said they were unaware that Perkins Coie facilitated the research on their behalf, even though the law firm was using their money to pay for it. Even Mrs. Clinton only found about Mr. Steele’s research after Buzzfeed published the dossier, according to two associates who discussed the matter with her. They said that she was disappointed that the research — as well as the fact that the F.B.I. was looking into connections between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia — was not made public before Election Day.

CBS News also confirmed that Hillary claimed she didn’t know about the dossier until Buzzfeed published the doc.

Hillary Clinton only learned about the now-infamous “Trump dossier” after BuzzFeed News posted it, despite the fact that the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund it, a source confirmed to CBS News.

It seems at least that many agree that this has to be investigated. And many also agree that this has the potential to be one of the largest scandals ever. Quite a few need to pay for this. And they really need to zero in on payments to the Clinton foundation. It's tiresome to see someone like her repeatedly flaunt her crimes and stay above the law. And Wasserman Schultz as well. There's no way anyone could convince me that they weren't aware of this, of course they were.

Leon Panetta: Congress Must Probe DNC Links to Dossier

Former CIA Director Leon Panetta said Thursday that Congress must investigate how the Democratic National Committee did not know about payments to Fusion GPS for an unsubstantiated Russian dossier on President Donald Trump.

"Knowing presidential campaigns, they're big operations and somehow the left hand may not know what the right hand is doing," Panetta, who also served as defense secretary under former President Barack Obama, told Wolf Blitzer on CNN.

"The committee is going to have to get into this, determine just exactly what happened, who knew what and when," he said.

CNN reported Thursday that John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, former chair of the Democratic National Committee, both denied to Congress that they knew about payments to Fusion for the dossier.

Panetta told Blitzer that, regardless, the identities of all those who paid the opposition-research firm for the information should be disclosed.

Rep. Pete King: Hillary Had to Know About Dossier Funding

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as her party's nominee for the White House, had to have known that her campaign and the Democratic National Committee had funded, in part, research for a damaging dossier accusing her Republican rival, Donald Trump, of a series of connections with Russia, Rep. Pete King said Thursday.

"I know Hillary Clinton pretty well," the New York Republican told Fox News' "America's Newsroom" program. "She is a master of detail, [and] $6 million was spent on this. You don't lay out that kind of money in a campaign unless you know why it is being spent and what it is being spent for and you have the final product."

Further, said King, "the Democrats had somebody else" lead the dossier to get it out, "which indicates they knew something was wrong with this, and yet they wanted to get it in through the back door.

"I can't believe that either Secretary Clinton or [campaign manager] John Podesta didn't know . . . $6 million is a lot of money to spend without somebody knowing about it."

Trump has long called the dossier "fake," which includes unsubstantiated claims about him, including allegations of liaisons with prostitutes, and he told reporters outside the White House on Wednesday that the new reports about the involvement of Clinton and the DNC back him up.

Associates of Clinton's, though, told The New York Times that she did not know about the dossier funding.

Meanwhile, Trump has called another set of allegations against Clinton and the Obama White House, claiming that deals were made that resulted in 20 percent of the United States' uranium going to Russia resulted in the Watergate scandal of this era.

Obama’s Campaign Paid $972,000 To Law Firm That Secretly Paid Fusion GPS In 2016

Since April of 2016, Obama's campaign organization has paid nearly a million dollars to the law firm that funneled money to Fusion GPS to compile a dossier of unverified allegations against Donald Trump.

Former president Barack Obama’s official campaign organization has directed nearly a million dollars to the same law firm that funneled money to Fusion GPS, the firm behind the infamous Steele dossier. Since April of 2016, Obama For America (OFA) has paid over $972,000 to Perkins Coie, records filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) show.

The Washington Post reported last week that Perkins Coie, an international law firm, was directed by both the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to retain Fusion GPS in April of 2016 to dig up dirt on then-candidate Donald Trump. Fusion GPS then hired Christopher Steele, a former British spy, to compile a dossier of allegations that Trump and his campaign actively colluded with the Russian government during the 2016 election. Though many of the claims in the dossier have been directly refuted, none of the dossier’s allegations of collusion have been independently verified. Lawyers for Steele admitted in court filings last April that his work was not verified and was never meant to be made public.

OFA, Obama’s official campaign arm in 2016, paid nearly $800,000 to Perkins Coie in 2016 alone, according to FEC records. The first 2016 payments to Perkins Coie, classified only as “Legal Services,” were made April 25-26, 2016, and totaled $98,047. A second batch of payments, also classified as “Legal Services,” were disbursed to the law firm on September 29, 2016, and totaled exactly $700,000. Payments from OFA to Perkins Coie in 2017 totaled $174,725 through August 22, 2017.

Newt Gingrich: The Clintons started the so-called Russian collusion scandal and may be destroyed by it

The Left has been desperately working for months to find any shred of evidence that Donald Trump had even the slightest connection to Russia during the presidential campaign. Despite having the full support of their friends in the media, they have consistently failed to find anything substantive.

At first, I assumed the liberal elites were simply driven by their inability to accept that the American people elected Donald Trump as their 45th president. Now, I have another theory: The Trump-Russia story is meant to serve as a pure distraction aimed at masking real corruption by the Clinton political machine.

As The Hill reported on Sunday, while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, a Kremlin-linked bank paid her husband, former President Bill Clinton, hundreds of thousands of dollars. Also during her tenure as top diplomat, earlier reports indicate Canadian and Russian business executives directed many millions more to the Clinton Foundation. In fact, citing recently unsealed Federal Bureau of Investigation reports, The Hill described a thorough Russian campaign aimed at gaining access to the Clintons and capitalizing on their influence, while also spying on them to advance a pro-Russia agenda. In 2010, the FBI arrested 10 so-called “sleeper cell” Russian spies who had reportedly become too close to Hillary Clinton.

Meanwhile, while serving as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was also overseeing a laundry list of U.S.-Russian initiatives and dealings.

Among other things, she served on the Committee on Foreign Investment, where she voted in favor of President Obama’s approval of the sale of Uranium One, a Canadian business, to a state-owned Russian nuclear energy outfit. At the time, the Canadian company controlled 20 percent of the U.S. uranium reserves.

Before the sale was approved, a Kremlin-linked bank that supported the deal paid Bill Clinton $500,000 for a 90-minute speech in Moscow to promote the Uranium One’s stock. Bill then met personally with Vladimir Putin. All the while, people linked with Uranium One – and its previous incarnation UrAsia – reportedly paid the Clinton Foundation $145 million in donations.

You can’t make this stuff up, and while the news media continues to acknowledge the facts, they still claim there is no foul play on behalf of the Clintons in terms of the uranium deal. The Media Research Center found that the ABC, NBC, and CBS evening shows have “spent only 3 minutes and 1 second on the Clinton Foundation scandal in more than two years.”

You tell me? And without an investigation, we may never know. But a sitting SOS, getting millions and millions, from the very people that just received 20% of the USA supply of uranium? For you to even suggest/think that there may even be a remote chance of everything being legal is hilarious. The money trail among some of them is undeniable. And if legal - why deny any of certain things?

And again, can you please link/post something that shows this process you speak of, and that these other agencies needed to sign off on? If it went through these agencies - then surely we can just post all involved with it to explain it away. Wouldn't any of it have had to pass scrutiny, as you allude to?

But I'm confident they would go along with the recommendation of the SoS, and perhaps even the president. Did you even read all of this? It sure doesn't sound like it, as many things are dead to rights, and a SERIOUS explanation would be needed to explain such things away. And now even the FBI? At bare minimum, an investigation into this needs to be done, and yesterday.

There are MANY accusations of wrongdoing in many timelines I have posted in this thread. I've yet to see you refute a single one of them.

A Russian nuclear firm under FBI investigation was allowed to purchase US uranium supply

Fifteen months before the 13 members of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, known as CFIUS, approved the sale of the Canadian company Uranium One to Russia’s nuclear arm giant Rosatom, the FBI began investigating persons who were connected to the Russian state corporation. The FBI said in court documents and in interviews conducted by Circa that by 2010 they had gathered enough evidence to prove that Rosatom-connected officials were engaged in a global bribery scheme that included kickbacks and money laundering. FBI officials said the investigation could have prevented the sale of Uranium One, which controlled 20 percent of U.S. uranium supply under U.S. law.

The deal which required approval by CFIUS, an inter-agency committee who reviews transactions that leads to a change of control of a U.S. business to a foreign person or entity that may have an impact on the national security of the United States. At the time of the Uranium One deal the panel was chaired by then-Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and included then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and then-Attorney General Eric Holder.

By the time CFIUS approved the sale of Uranium One to Rosatom the FBI’s investigation had already gathered substantial evidence of bribery and kickbacks against a Russian national, Vadim Mikerin, who was then a top official with Rosatom’s Tenex subsidiary, according to court documents. The FBI said while at Tenex, which was located in Maryland, Mikerin was involved in multiple bribery and kickback schemes.

In a 2015 affidavit, FBI officials said Mikerin, “with the consent of higher level officials at Tenex and Rosatom (both Russian state-owned entities), would offer no-bid contracts to U.S. businesses in exchange for kickbacks in the form of money...” made to offshore accounts, stated the affidavit in support of a search warrant. Mikerin pled guilty to the allegations.

The Justice Department didn’t move forward an indictment with prosecution of bribery by people tied to Rosatom, through subsidies and other entities, until 2014 after CFIUS approved the sale of Uranium One, leaving the American public without knowledge of the Russian company’s allegedly illegal actives as it went to procure one-fifth of U.S. uranium supply.

"Recent reporting by the Hill has, indeed, added a layer of intrigue to the sale of a uranium mining company to Russia's atomic energy agency, which was approved by the Clinton-led State Department and eight other U.S. government agencies."

I did a search of "uranium one" and merged all pertinent threads. Interesting to see who originally got the ball rolling here on this one - Balu!!
Yet he left this forum and was not considered(by many) to be a positive addition here.....
I did my part asking him repeatedly to stay and later to return.
He had many positive/good qualities and was always civil in his posts..
His being a Russian, caused some to dislike him without seeing his merits, methinks..--Tyr

I HAVE - I have NO IDEA why that big eared jerk off is waiting, because no less than 2 committees have no called for investigations. I think it will happen.

And yes, read above about the agencies, they are all of one committee, so easier to get on by such a way than going 8 or 9 separate times. Lying, coverups and such, don't now act like it doesn't happen suddenly.

You JUMPED at the mere suggestion that Trump Jr. colluded with Russians, by simply meeting with a lawyer. You wanted the world to come down on him, even before there was an ounce of proof. And it never came, and he was cleared. NOW - you can barely find a reason, with TONS of CONFIRMED evidence of wrongdoing, and you are stretching for excuses.

There is talk Sessions may recuse himself. I'm not sure because the members of different agencies that form a committee means it's any easier. Just look at the UN. They can't agree on anything.

I don't think there is tons of confirmed evidence of illegal activities. A lot has been debunked. If it were such a slam dunk there wouldn't be just a meager house probe. If anything comes from the probe then we'll see if not, then maybe you have some facts wrong because this isn't something the repubs just lay on. It's huge for them if confirmed.

You see nothing wrong with all the money received? THAT ALONE warrants an investigation against her. No sitting official should be receiving money from folks they are currently working with. You don't see the possibility of this all being kickback related, and folks making millions off sales?

I don't see where it claims that. It says "Russian nuclear industry officials".

I think the money laundering to the tune of 12 million to Fusion GPS will be easier to prove than the bribery directly from the Russians.

However, for an immunity deal to the culpable Russkies, it isn't far fetched to see them testify against Bill & Hellary. And really no skin off our nose, either, seeing as how we can't realistically prosecute a Russian National anyway, so removing them from any sanctions is a good bargain.

jimnyc
10-30-2017, 12:49 PM
I don't see where it claims that. It says "Russian nuclear industry officials".

Hence it needs an investigation. I don't see where it states the money WASN'T for that. And then include the fact that she failed to report it - makes one think it was some underhanded shit. Only an investigation will find the truth. And when they receive MANY donations, over and over, from the place getting the sale - then I believe something WAS being done illegally. Personally, I found no less than 25 SOLID reasons to see an investigation. Then again, I read and am fair, and hold EVERYONE accountable to the law, regardless of political aisle.

Those Russian folks are kickback artists and I'll bet anything that some of it was to the Clinton foundation. Then the government gave Bill $500k for an easy speaking gig. Then more money to the foundation. Then more. Then more. Then the FBI knew they were dirty and even did an investigation. One person had to be kept from speaking in fact, and the gag has just now been lifted. The dirty as hell Russian folks in that involved industry are probably the Clintons of Russia, and both worked together perfectly.

Just ONE wrongdoing should be investigated. When it's 2 of them, you raise your eyebrows and demand an investigation. When you see 3 things you wonder how big is the scandal. When you see the Presidents name mentioned as the 4th thing, you say holy shit, do an investigation to make sure (just like you guys said about Trump) - but when you get up top a minimum of 10 things that need to be looked at further - THAT is a HUGE fucking problem and DEMANDS an investigation. This thread is littered with those things, and you are just whistling and laughing at it.

Can't read the article. Unfortunately they only let you read like 3 or so articles before they cut you off and want $$$!

We "owned" the uranium by US law, and I believe the 20% was at the time of the sale.

Either way - the bottom line is that it was a lot of uranium, LOTS of shady shit went on during the sale and shit hidden from the public, lots of money moved around. It's less so about the sale and the amount of uranium, because that stuff can be legit - but its the transaction, how it went down, any kickbacks and what not and all kinds of other shit that was done to make this deal happen.

Just like Manafort is being done in with $$ coming from secret dealings overseas. An investigation needs to be done here as well.

And YOU are looking over and over for excuses to avoid that happening and to defend everything and anything shitty and negative about it.

Remind me again what the charge was when Mueller's investigation started? Was it directed entirely after Manafort? Did potential illegal acts, against America potentially, happen and be found as a result of this investigation?

So you agree that the bad shit you saw, that warranted an investigation, was done, and as a result, thus far, illegal actions have been uncovered.

But you disagree that they should do the same with the Clinton camp, with more impropriety and wrongdoing on the surface, and potentially and infinitely more scandalous to our country if so.

In just a few short posts and a few minutes - you went from claiming that Sessions said he would need a factual basis. Now you're saying that there is no factual basis? Which is it? So you're saying that he was ALREADY presented with all information and has made his decision already?

His exact quote is "It would take a factual basis that meets the standards of the appointment of a special counsel."

"That’s what it looks like and I’m asking you, in addition to all the things we know about James Comey in 2016, doesn’t that warrant naming a second special counsel?" he said.

Sessions at first demurred, noting that Comey is no longer the director of the FBI and praising the current director, Chris Wray. But pressed further by Jordan — "He's not here today, Attorney General Sessions, and you are" — Sessions appeared to throw cold water on the immediate need for a special counsel.

"I would say 'looks like' is not enough basis to appoint a special counsel," he said sharply.

Rep. Trey Gowdy to AG Jeff Sessions: Congress Will Investigate a Politicized DOJ

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) told Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday that Congress is opening an investigation on the politicized DOJ.

Under Attorney General Sessions the Department of Justice has ignored any criminal behavior by Hillary Clinton or the Obama administration while launching a Special Counsel to investigate Donald Trump and Russia — a complete Democrat Party hoax.

Trey Gowdy told Sessions Congress will investigate the Department of Justice.

Rep. Trey Gowdy: I get, I guess, that certain departments are inherently political. But the Department of Justice should not be. I tell you that up front that Chairman Goodlatte and I are going to be looking into the decisions made in 2016 and 2017. And I think I can speak for him and I know I can speak for myself my motivation is a love for that department.

It’s about time.

For the sake of the nation — Jeff Sessions needs to step down immediately.

The facts are the facts, and the facts are that a S.C. was appointed by cheating, lying, leaking and collusion on the part of the DNC, the Clinton campaign, the FBI, Comey, Mueller and Rosenstien which was in itself illegal to appoint a S.C. on hearsay, which was the fake dossier illegally leaked by Comey SPECIFICALLY to lead to a S.C, but the icing on that cake is Sessions recused himself. This is all even separate to the Uranium One scandal, and we know plenty about that that is fact. I know these facts, you know these facts, we ALL know these facts, yet Sessions refuses to appoint another S.C. So what we know already is, Session DID appoint a S.C. ILLEGALLY on hearsay, rumor and partisan corruption, yet we know there's blatant law breaking that has been established as fact, and Sessions WON'T appoint another S.C. to investigate that, which WOULD be legal. So either the man is a horrendously ignorant moronic buffoon and has no business what so ever in the job he's in and should immediately be fired, or he's in on this deep state partisan hack funny business and he should be immediately fired.

I've pointed this out several times already. I hope this time you were able to follow along. Nothing arrogant about it, Sessions is an absolutely epic failure so far. I'd like to personally bitch slap his grinning little jackass cake hole and tell him to take a fucking hike... YOU'RE FIRED.

Thank God for Trey Gowdy. I REALLY like that guy. I wish we had 100 more like him in the republican party. Maybe then the democrats wouldn't be waltzing around like hyenas thinking they can get away with anything. Put a few of these shit stains in prison and maybe they'll think twice before they pay for another fake dossier or do a pay for play from a public office and sell off 20% of our nations strategic uranium reserves... for which I hope and pray with all my heart that someday Hitlery and Bill, and even obama and the rest of the players, sit their corrupt, lawless asses in PRISON for a few HUNDRED years.

I guess the blame lies in Trump. I thought he was going to hire the best.

Knowing what we know now, I'd agree Sessions was a bad pick, but president Trump bears no blame for Sessions actions pertaining to the present issues I just laid out. President Trump had no way what so ever of knowing what was going to happen or what Sessions was going to do in regards to an issue that wasn't even brought up yet. No one could know. People can't time travel. I'm sure Sessions was highly recommended to president Trump.

Nice try once again to spin an issue around to blame president Trump while ignoring the red meat though. I know that's what you TDS leftists do, constantly, without fail, and will continue to do for as long as Trump is president. Thankfully millions know what you're all up to, and we not only see it, it makes us think more and more poorly of democrats every time we see it. Kind of like the idiot anti American football players that are cutting their nose off to spite their face. They think they're doing good, when the reality is they're really only hurting themselves. They're destroying the one thing that has made them rich. It's mind boggling but, let 'em.

I guess the blame lies in Trump. I thought he was going to hire the best.More semantics. "The best" is subjective based on individual opinion. It is also irrelevant to the main topic of this thread. The topic has morphed into questioning Sessions not appointing an special counsel to investigate Uranium One, not who hired sessions. Who hired him is not a red herring -- it's a red WHALE.
