How nice. The Balfour Declaration of 1924 created the state of Israel in what was then British occupied Palestine. Nobody wanted the Jews in their country so a piece of dirt in the ME would do. It was not acted on until after WWII ended. Smooth move, that. Only cost the Jews 6M, give or take a few.
When Britain gave it the Jews in 1949, the US was against it. Lost a ship over the deal too. Now we act like we invented the place.
