My friend Gaffer, a friend and one I so much admired.
Balu, my Russian friend... tho tis possible he still could return.
c2c, my California friend and a liberal from my old forum, before I landed here.--Tyr

Hmm. I can't understand why a guy like Avi would prefer that cesspool.

Diversity?

Don't get me wrong, I much prefer this board, but it's not as if I come here seeking diversity of thought or opinion. There is very little of that here.

I have quite a few "diverse thoughts" .... none of which are fit for public exposure...

As do I my friend but my wife mandates that I refrain from acting upon mine, since too often they usually involve the normal American male's mental lusting for
sexy, stone cold foxes encountered and also my proclivity to desire to use extreme violence upon people (men) that insult/offend me or mine.
Both are that which she by wily and well beloved means, keeps me away from doing..... ;)
Which at my age perhaps is a great salvation...----Tyr

He popped on the other board a time or two a couple years ago. Same ole Dillo, was always a happy guy.

Just for funsies, I logged into my account there. Took a few tries as I had to remember a password I hadn't used in a *very* long time. Especially since the email I used back then has long since been deactivated.

That *very long time* was a post made in 2007. Not sure how long it has been since I only logged in but the last post was Jan 2007. I read through a few of them and cringed a bit... my politics haven't changed much but my whole life has. Oh, has it changed a huge bunch.

Damn... amazing how things happen like that.

As far as Avatar, I am friends with him on FB and have been since 08 or so, and so he and I chat periodically. Oddly enough, we live in the same state now (he moved here since his wife is from here) but STILL have not met face to face. Our lives are just that vastly different and he lives a few hours away.

There WAS a guy used to post regularly here named Jim. Having that goof around was a major ego boost. He shows up every once in awhile now to do a drive-by.

I joined the other board on May 8th, 2004. Back before they deleted the member list, I believe my member # was 1604. Now there's purported to be 42,408 members, the majority of which seem to be rabid liberals. The place is an absolute free for all of insults and bull shit. It's not fun at all. It's slowly but surely turning into Moveon.org, or the D.U. I rarely go there anymore.

If petey was to leave forever.....how many of us would HONESTLY miss him?I would, I guess. He seems okay for someone who is representative of that portion of society that has to be against everything good and right and for everything wrong and bad. I just take him in stride mostly. After all, I'm sure he thinks most of us are dicks:laugh:

Trust me, I know the feeling. I go to the old site in question, and just read a few threads, and suddenly I am a smarter person. You're free to use my stupidity for your own personal gain. :)
