You called it a couple of months ago Black Diamond . The 9th US District judge ruled Trump does not have the Constitutional authority to cut off the purse strings to sanctuary cities.

Kind of interesting, if you ask me. Two questions: DOES Trump have the authority to cut the purse strings? The judge's stance is Congress, not the President, has the authority.

A point on that matter is, no state within the 9th District has the Right to defy Federal law, correct?

If I'm Trump, this goes to the Supremes. And/or I find another way to withhold funding. Funny, but for those of us that remember, when Nixon mandated a 55 mph speed limit and threatened to cut highway funding for states that didn't comply, there was no argument.

The 9th circuit court of appeals? They have long been the worst court in the nation, IMO.

It's going to set up an interesting battle between the Federal government and (a) State(s). Unlike a lot of the left's hanky-panky, immigration IS covered by Federal law. It'll come down to who actually has authority. If Trump goes for a new law through Congress, he'll have to have every Republican vote to do it. I don't see it.

I also don't see where a state comes off overruling the Federal government. We fought a war over that shit. I say just don't give them the money and ask what they're going to do about it...
