The Many Unseen Gifts

Should man's daily treks include love of Nature's gifts
and inhaling its forested beauty and blue, blue skies
Vast oceans, sandy beaches, great washing tidal shifts
enormity of it's gifts man too oft denies?

Swim On A Warm Summer Day

Walking these fields and over to the flowing stream
June's great shining day and a cool refreshing swim
Waters found fast flowing, blasting welcoming gleam
and this soul glad it wandered thus on a mere whim.

A Fine July Night

A fine July night and brilliant stars glow above
windows open to let in uncommon cool breeze
Countryside, away from city's hustle and shove
laying back, resting this magic night, so at ease!

I woke this morn and decided to write a sonnet using these quatrains.
Create a title from the thoughts and ideas represented in these three.
Then add a closing couplet as a conclusion.
Here is what I came up with.. and this is my first time ever doing this....
The combining of separate and entirely distinct pieces to create a new poem/sonnet...-Tyr

In A Time And A Place, So Very Long Ago

Should man's daily treks include love of Nature's gifts
inhaling forest's beauty and blue, blue skies.
Vast oceans, sandy beaches, washing tidal shifts
enormity of it's gifts man too oft denies?

Walking these fields and over to the flowing stream
June's great shining day and a cool refreshing swim.
Waters found fast flowing, blasting welcoming gleam
and this soul glad it wandered thus on a mere whim.

Fine July night and brilliant stars glow far above
windows open to let in uncommon cool breeze.
Countryside, away from city's hustle and shove
laying back, resting this magic night, so at ease!

Wake to new day and life falling down onto me.
In past futures, rolls Time's round, never-ending Sea.

Look Beyond That Deserted Horizon

Wherein sad and long lost love hides,
is in a heart pierced by crushed dreams and lonesome nights.
Broken soul can hardly abide,
memories of the loss that birthed cursed fires casting no lights.
Let the fiddlier play his tunes,
this world will always tempt thy heart with its dazzling heights.
Look beyond hot desert sand dunes,
for lush oasis of love returning its precious and beautiful sights!

Beneath Crying Of Lost Skies And Low Wailing Moons

As thy soul rests easily in its blinded night
this dark and malignant world plays its blinding tunes
What pride thy arrogance takes in its blinded sight
beneath crying of lost skies and low wailing moons.

Speak With Courageous Voices

When they dull your axe, your new hammer hits hard
they break your window, cut'em with each broken shard
Life offer so many new twists and hard choices
be not a sheep, speak with courageous voices!

Walk Upon Bright Heavenly Clouds At Night

Leave teeming crowds and seek another path
walk upon bright heavenly clouds at night.
Abandon envy and hate, their fearsome wrath
find true peace with thy soul truly contrite.

Before Poetry Came

What was I, before my poet was born
empty of heart and time and quite forlorn.
Again, what was I, before I became this
waiting for hope, poetry I did miss.
