Wow, will be interesting to see what he comes up with, what he knew, what his involvement was, when, what Trump knew... so many questions!

WHAT he had them make contact about will be the $64,000 question, and when. It's obvious Mueller had him dead to rights, or no way he pleads guilty so easily. Then what will be next, is whatever proof they go forward with, will that also have folks dead to rights, or will it be just words.

I wonder how much of this started with the fisa warrants, if at all?

Gonna be an interesting Christmas!

I will admit I think the Russians had only mild impact on the election. So this makes all the Russian contact from the campaign so much more stupid. They created this mess for no reason.

Even if no impact - there can still be major wrongdoing. It can also be another MAJOR story that leads to very little about Trump, or stuff with zero actual proof.

Response from Trump's lawyer:

White House Plays Down Importance Of Flynn Guilty Plea

President Trump’s attorney Ty Cobb played down the importance of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s guilty plea Friday.

Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation about his phone calls in December 2016 with the Russian ambassador to America. The Associated Press reported that the former Trump campaign and White House official admitted that “Trump transition officials directed his contacts with the Russians.”

“The false statements involved mirror the false statements to White House officials which resulted in his resignation in February of this year,” Cobb said in a statement released to reporters. “Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn. The conclusion of this phase of the Special Counsel’s work demonstrates again that the Special Counsel is moving with all deliberate speed and clears the way for a prompt and reasonable conclusion.”

Flynn is the fourth former Trump campaign official to be charged by special counsel Robert Mueller’s wide-ranging probe into alleged Russian election interference.

Quite frankly, I think arguments can be made about "liars" all the way around, from Trump to Flynn, to Comey and Clinton, to Mueller and the entire political spectrum probably, for that fact. All the more reason that 'evidence' coming into play is the main and only factor. And if they have just that, and it's solid, whoever is guilty - adios!! But of something of this magnitude, I would expect irrefutable proof of course, whether that be against Trump, or Clinton. Whether that be the latest parade of sexual harassment/assault allegations, to various political allegations, it seems that as of late that things are guilty until you prove yourself innocent. Or things are tried in the MSM and powerful individuals, and they control the strings. This applies to both sides of course.

All the more reason I would still like to see the day when 435 representatives in the House would be shitcanned. Followed by approximately 100 senators. Prior to this purge, the rules would already have been changed to allow for only 2 terms maximum for any position in government. Payroll would be capped at a minimum, as congress would be mostly volunteer lead for the good of their respective states/locales.

I wouldn't say so. His reasoning, for some thinking he backed himself into a corner - perhaps because he's telling the truth? He still stands confident, and that might be with good reason.

I don't see him firing Mueller. I think if he's clean, and did nothing illegal, then let it ride and come out laughing.

FLASHBACK: Obama Campaign Conspired with Hamas and FARC Terrorists and Iranian Regime Before 2008 Election

The liberal media echo chamber is in a panic state this morning after ABC News reported General Michael Flynn will testify against President Trump for telling him to contact the Russians.

This is not a crime. And Flynn was doing his job by contacting leaders of global powers.

https://i.imgur.com/hxbFKWW.png

In 2008 Barack Obama campaign reportedly spoke with the Hamas terrorist group.

Breitbart.com reported:

In 2008, Robert Malley stepped down as an informal foreign policy adviser to Obama’s campaign when it was revealed that he met with Hamas members.

Malley admitted to the meetings, but he claimed he met with the terrorists as part of his private job.

Captured FARC terrorist computers revealed that the Colombian terrorists were meeting with Obama representatives before the 2008 election.

In 2008 FARC terrorist Raul Reyes had information that FARC was meeting “gringos” about Obama.

The computers captured this past weekend by Colombian soldiers at the campsite of FARC #2 Raul Reyes contained loads of damning information on FARC sympathizers and allies.

Well, still ringing at 0.00 found thus far though. One had wrongdoings long before coming to the Trump campaign, that adds no smoke. Now this one adds to the discussion, but if it's just that, a guy asked to speak with foreign powers, then it still rings in at 0.00% and no smoke.

Flynn’s plea doesn’t prove collusion

Friday morning’s guilty plea from former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn is a major disappointment for Democrats. Flynn admitting to having made false statements is nowhere near where the Democrats want this to go. Of course, the story is big and the fact that a former White House official has been charged with anything and pleaded guilty is consequential, but it doesn’t suggest any collusion occurred and it doesn’t even get close to confirming that Donald Trump or his campaign was somehow complicit in a nefarious scheme.

Democrats are already straining themselves trying to suggest that Flynn’s plea is just the beginning and that there is more to come. But as far as Flynn is concerned, that is unlikely. It is just wishful thinking on their part. It’s not as though he pleaded guilty only to leave unresolved matters for later.

Commentators are saying Flynn’s plea couldn’t come at a worse time for the president. As Republicans are on the brink of passing this administration’s most important legislative initiative with the GOP-led tax reform bill, some in the media have gone so far as to suggest Flynn’s admission of guilt may disrupt the tax bill’s vote count in Congress. Well, a note to the political geniuses in the liberal mainstream media: There isn’t one Republican member of Congress thinking, “Gee, Flynn pleaded guilty to something or another. Maybe I won’t vote for a tax cut.” It just doesn’t work that way.

Once the dust settles, the Democrats and their media allies will realize that there is nothing more to this story than what Flynn has admitted to. Commentators are saying Flynn has agreed to cooperate, as if that is something new. The fact is, there was never a time when Flynn wasn’t cooperating. He has been a cooperating witness since special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation began.

The Democrats won’t admit it, but they are throwing in the towel on collusion. Their only choice now is to prop up the convoluted claim of obstruction of justice, and that could go on forever. The ordeal may be bothersome for the White House, but it won’t be fatal.

Oh and by the way, let’s reflect on what has happened in this investigation so far. Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were indicted on matters associated with foreign-agent registration and money laundering that predated any engagement they had with Trump. Flynn has pleaded guilty to a crime that occurred after the campaign was over. To be precise, none of this involves the president or his campaign. It’s all ugly and ragged, but this White House has a lot of ugly and ragged.

Even if Flynn says he was instructed by the president to be in touch with the Russians, so what? All that would mean is the president-elect told his national security adviser to do his job. Don’t be fooled by the breathless, desperate reaction from the usual suspects. As far as the White House is concerned, the Flynn guilty plea is a 4 on a scale from 1 to 10.

Sorry, Democrats. The investigations and “collusion” outrage are running out of steam, well short of reaching the president’s doorstep.

Liberals Gloat Over Mike Flynn, Taunting Him For 'Lock Her Up' Comments

Shortly after news broke that former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, liberals began mocking him for leading chants of "Lock Her Up!" at the Republican National Convention last year. These chants suggested former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should be imprisoned for various scandals, especially the infamous Uranium One deal.

"Reminder: Flynn chanted 'lock her up' at the RNC, said 'If I did a tenth, a tenth of what she did, I would be in jail,'" Kyle Griffin, producer of MSNBC's "The Last Word," tweeted Friday.

https://i.imgur.com/RTjidmw.png

Griffin seemed to suggest that Flynn had done at least "a tenth" of what Clinton did.

Chris Hayes, host of MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes," merely said, "Lock her up, amirite?"

https://i.imgur.com/o4tS1DG.png

David Axelrod, former advisor to Barack Obama, mentioned Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, who has been charged in the Robert Mueller investigation, the same investigation which led to Flynn's guilty plea.

"Recalling two central players at '16 GOP Convention: Manafort, who was chair of Donald Trump's Campaign; and Flynn, who led the prime time chants of 'Lock her up!'" Axelrod tweeted.

https://i.imgur.com/7HaSbeZ.png

Despite liberals' gloating, the Mueller investigation is not the only scandal centering on a 2016 presidential candidate to heat up recently. Recent revelations about Fusion GPS, the company Clinton's campaign and the DNC paid to produce the Trump-Russia dossier, and its connections with Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who approached Donald Trump Jr., suggested a theory that Clinton might have orchestrated at least some of the Trump-Russia scandal.

Russian spies also attempted to infiltrate Clinton's network, and the FBI acted quickly to arrest them right before Clinton approved the Russian company Rosatom acquiring U.S. uranium in the Uranium One deal. This deal followed closely after a Russian bank promoting Uranium One stock paid Bill Clinton a hefty speaking fee. Recently revealed documents seemed to confirm the corruption previously reported by Peter Schweizer in The New York Times in 2015.

Reports: Jared Kushner Ordered the Call That Sunk Michael Flynn

UPDATE: The Associated Press appeared to confirm these reports later, saying Kushner is the “very senior” official named in Flynn’s guilty plea.

https://i.imgur.com/NC5rKfz.png

The original story follows below:

Reports in multiple outlets Friday claim White House Advisor and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner is responsible for directing then-candidate for National Security Advisor Micheal Flynn to make the phone call about which he later lied to the FBI.

UPDATE: The Associated Press appeared to confirm these reports later, saying Kushner is the “very senior” official named in Flynn’s guilty plea.

https://i.imgur.com/QC8FDc2.png

Bloomberg News cites “[t]wo former officials with the Trump transition team” claiming that Flynn was acting on Kushner’s say-so when he called diplomatic officials of other United Nations Security Council members, including Russia, and asked them to delay an expected vote condemning Israeli settlements.

“On or about December 22, 2016, Flynn did not ask the Russian Ambassador to delay the vote on or defeat a pending United Nations Security Council resolution,” reads one of the statements to the FBI that Flynn has now admitted is false, pleading guilty to a felony in the process.

Flynn, according to these sources, did make such a call, and he did so because Jared asked him to intervene to prevent the Security Counsel vote coming up while Barack Obama was still president. The Obama administration had made clear its intention to abstain from the vote after a 36-year-long U.S. policy of vetoing condemnations of Israel’s settlements, despite President-elect Trump’s stated opposition. Obama’s Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power did, in fact, abstain, allowing the resolution to pass in a major international embarrassment for Israel.

At the time a senior Israeli official told Breitbart News:

President Obama and Secretary Kerry are behind this shameful move against Israel at the UN. The US administration secretly cooked up with the Palestinians an extreme anti Israeli resolution behind Israel’s back which would be a tailwind for terror and boycotts and effectively make the Western Wall occupied Palestinian territory.

“Jared called Flynn and told him you need to get on the phone to every member of the Security Council and tell them to delay the vote,” Buzzfeed News quotes a source that may be the same as those cited by Bloomberg.

Kushner allegedly called Flynn at the Trump transition team’s headquarters in Washington, DC, claiming that “this was a top priority for the president.” Flynn then told the room that “the president wants this done ASAP.”

Kushner’s lawyers responded to neither Bloomberg or Buzzfeed’s requests for comment.

If the sources cited in these reports are correct, they would represent yet another example of the president’s son-in-law playing a central role in a major setback for the administration. Kushner’s tenure at the White House has included a series of missteps that have undermined the administration’s credibility and effectiveness.

Referred to in his family’s investment materials as “Mr. Perfect” and one half of “Javanka,” along with first daughter Ivanka Trump, Kushner is reportedly taking a smaller and smaller role in the White House after initially being given a massive, wide-reaching portfolio. A Friday Reuters report suggested he may be on the way out of the administration after tax reform is passed.

My first thought that was perhaps he was asked various lines of questioning over time, and didn't remember properly or whatever. But he plead guilty, so for him this was more than forgetting someone he spoke or met with. There's got to be a reason that he lied about it, and worthy of potential jail time.

Yes we know you don't care about the law.I don't care about the law? Better get a grip. YOU don't care about the law unless it suits YOUR politics to, which usually makes ZERO sense.

I care about the law. ENFORCE IT. WHAT law has been broken Pete? Which one? I keep asking you keep ducking. So WHAT is the answer? Let's say Trump DID tell someone to "talk to the Russians". F-U-C-K-I-N-G AND? Who cares? YOU care, Pete. Because it doesn't matter how many Dems run around copping feels and evidence supports it, so long as you can waste millions sifting through nothing to try and create an answer.

I perfectly well would expect any nominee I'm voting for to talk to the freakin' Russians. Damned right I want to know where they stand. They've only been our nemesis since before there was a US. So no Pete, just like you, I don't care about the law when it isn't "the" law, it's a perverted waste of an excuse to go witch hunting fact-finding body.

But YOU don't care. You want some leftwing dirt on Trump no matter the price. Even if that price is the truth.

To the best of my understanding the prosecutor is looking at what was then the 'incoming administration' or possibly when it was still a candidacy. It's not about 'talking to the Russians,' but rather undermining the Obama administration's dealings with Russia via the UN resolution regarding I believe Israeli settlements. What would be fine IF he were in office, likely isn't if prior to inauguration.

It's looking more likely than not that it was Kushner pushing Flynn, meaning he'll be the next in Mueller's crosshairs. Now IF Kushner just did this totally on his own, that Trump never told anyone to do any of this, there won't be a problem. If he did tell someone to try to get Russia to delay the vote, the problem comes from his unequivocally stating he did no such thing.

Few bits and pieces here...click on link below for the whole story

I don’t mean to be talking down here, but everybody calm down. Just calm down. ABC News and Brian Ross are exactly who we think they are. Brian Ross reporting that Flynn promised to tell Mueller anything he wants to know about Trump and his family. Folks, it’s Brian Ross. It’s ABC. It’s much ado about nothing (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/michael-flynn-charged-making-false-statements-fbi-documents/story?id=50849354). Hang on....

***
...Because the Drive-Bys have been salivating for this story to amount to something that it never will amount to, what today really means is that we are now looking forward to another six months of intense news stories, allegations of Trump-Russia collusion.

But there wasn’t any. Flynn does not know of any, and he’s not going to report any.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is exactly the sort of thing an incoming national security adviser is supposed to do in a transition between administrations.

Flynn is supposed “to make contact with the Russians … to lay the groundwork for mutual efforts against ISIS in Syria.”

There’s nothing here about undermining current Obama policy, which is what ABC and CNN and the others are trying to make you think is that Flynn was talking to the Russians to try to undermine Obama and his newly placed sanctions on Russian delegates and ambassadors and aides and so forth in the United States.

But the incoming national security adviser making “contact with the Russians … to lay the groundwork for mutual efforts against ISIS in Syria” is exactly what happens during every transition.

It is exactly the sort of thing the incoming national security adviser is supposed to do. Now, if this… And this is the key thing about it. If this were part of the basis for a collusion case arising out of Russia’s election meddling, then Flynn would not be pleading guilty to a process crime today.

What we have here is the Drive-By Media and ABC so damned eager for what they’ve been lying about for a year to actually be true that they cannot restrain themselves. They can’t contain themselves, and they’re seeing what isn’t there......

But because this phony baloney, plastic banana charge of collusion, stealing the election was out there, ABC News is reporting today that Flynn’s prepared to drop on Trump and his family and White House staff. ABC’s Flynn-Trump Report Caused Panic In The Stock Market — Then They Corrected The Story

ABC News is making a significant correction to a report it did on former national security adviser Michael Flynn that sent shockwaves across social media and financial markets on Friday.

Brian Ross, a veteran journalist at ABC News, reported earlier in the day that a source close to Flynn said that the retired lieutenant general was prepared to testify that during the campaign Donald Trump instructed him to make contact with Russian government officials.

The report came out after Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts during the presidential transition period with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Special Counsel Robert Mueller found that Flynn lied to the FBI during a Jan. 24 interview on the topic.

The stock market plummeted more than 350 points after the ABC News report, seemingly because it undercut Trump’s longstanding claim that he did not order anyone to contact the Russians prior to the election.

“[Flynn is prepared to testify, we are told by a confidant, against President Trump, against members of the Trump family, and others in the White House,” Ross reported. “He is prepared to testify that President Trump, as a candidate Donald Trump, ordered him to make contact with the Russians, which contradicts all that Donald Trump has said at this point.”

The source for Ross’s report appears to have been Richard Frankel, former senior aide to Flynn and an ABC News contributor. After Ross’s segment, ABC News published an article quoting Frankel at length.

“I don’t know how much General Flynn knows about any criminal activity that took place during the campaign or in the White House,” said Frankel, who retired earlier this year from a senior role at the FBI.

“However, General Flynn was a top adviser to President Trump in the campaign and a top adviser to him when he entered into the WH so if there are bodies buried so to speak, General Flynn would know about them in my opinion.”

The Daily Caller reached Frankel after Ross’s initial report.

“I have not had discussion with the General regarding these issues. I cannot comment in that I am with ABC News,” he said through email.

Ross issued a “clarification” to his report on ABC “World Tonight,” hours after the initial bombshell allegation about pre-election Russia contacts was made on air.

“A clarification tonight on something one of Flynn’s confidants told us and we reported earlier today,” Ross told ABC “World Tonight” host David Muir.

“He said the president had asked Flynn to contact Russia during the campaign. He’s now clarifying that, saying, according to Flynn, candidate Trump asked him during the campaign to find ways to repair relations with Russia and other world hot spots. And then after the election, the president-elect asked him to contact Russia on issues including working together to fight ISIS.”

Feels like Trump's only move is to fire Mueller.

As more info comes out, and as I stated - he is not guilty of anything, so not worried and no need for drastic action like that.

Trump Says He’s Not Worried That Flynn Is Cooperating With Mueller

President Trump said Saturday that he is not worried that former national security adviser Michael Flynn is cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

“Are you concerned about what Mike Flynn might tell the special counsel?” Trump was asked by a reporter outside the White House.

“No, I’m not,” the Republican replied.

“What has been shown is no collusion, no collusion. There has been absolutely no collusion, so we’re very happy.”

Flynn, a retired lieutenant general, pleaded guilty on Friday to lying to the FBI about contacts he had just after the election with Russia’s ambassador, Sergey Kislyak. As part of the plea deal, Flynn will cooperate with Mueller’s investigators as they continue probing whether the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government to sway the election.

Joy Behar and The View Audience Go Wild Over False Report Trump Directed Flynn to Contact Russians During Campaign

Friday morning on ABC’s The View, co-host Joy Behar was handed a large blue card during the live broadcast of the show by a stagehand who told her, “Breaking news.” Behar started reading the card, which relayed a (what turned out to be false) report from ABC’s Brian Ross that Gen. Michael Flynn had pled guilty and was prepared to testify that President Donald Trump directed him during the presidential campaign to contact the Russians. Behar grew ecstatic as she read the report, tossing the blue card in the air in celebration. The studio audience and most of other View co-hosts cheered along with Behar. The View panel discussed for the next seven minutes the fake news that ‘collusion’ between Trump and the Russians during the campaign was finally proven.

The View posted the segment on Twitter with the caption, “FLYNN PROMISES ‘FULL COOPERATION’: The co-hosts react to breaking news that Michael Flynn promised “full cooperation,” prepared to testify that Donald Trump “directed him to make contact with the Russians” during campaign”
