Perhaps they will find something they believe is obstruction of justice - to them - because they, the Dems, have a much different definition of such things, and that definition changes during different times, depending on who is in office, who their target is. Very quick with things like this, and finding everything and anything they can, but don't give a North Korean's current intestines about whether or not leaders in their party have wrongdoings on their resume.

Dianne Feinstein: We’re Building a Case for Obstruction of Justice

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) told NBC News’ Meet the Press on Sunday that Congress is building a case that President Donald Trump committed obstruction of justice when he fired former FBI Director James Comey in May.

NBC’s Chuck Todd pressed Feinstein as if it were obvious that the president had obstructed justice. He based his claim on a memorandum by former national security aide K. T. McFarland, who wrote during the transition that Russia “has just thrown U.S.A. election to him,” though in context it was clear she was referring, half-mockingly, to claims by the Democratic Party.

He also cited a tweet by Trump on Saturday, where the president said, “I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI,” which Democrats cited as proof of obstruction — though there was no evidence that Trump had tried to stop the investigation into Flynn even if he knew his crime.

Feinstein, the ranking member on the Senate Intelligence Committee, told Todd (transcript via NBC News): (https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/meet-press-december-3-2017-n826051)

I think, what we’re beginning to see is the putting together of a case of obstruction of justice. I think we see this in the indictments, the four indictments and pleas that have just taken place, and some of the comments that are being made. I see it in the hyper-frenetic attitude of the White House: the comments every day, the continual tweets. And I see it, most importantly, in what happened with the firing of Director Comey and it is my belief that that is directly because he did not agree to lift the cloud of the Russia investigation. That’s obstruction of justice.

Dershowitz: ‘You Cannot Charge a President With Obstruction of Justice for Exercising His Constitutional Power’

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz batted down the merit of obstruction of justice charges aimed at President Donald Trump for what he said was exercising his constitutional power and authority regarding the firing of then-FBI Director James Comey and instructing the Department of Justice what to and not to investigate.

“If Congress were to ever charge him with obstruction of justice for exercising his constitutional authority under Article 2, we’d have a constitutional crisis,” he explained. “You cannot charge a president with obstruction of justice for exercising his constitutional power to fire Comey and his constitutional authority to tell the Justice Department who to investigate, who not to investigate. That’s what Thomas Jefferson did. That’s what Lincoln did. That’s what Roosevelt did. We have precedents that clearly establish that.”

“When George Bush, the first, pardoned Caspar Weinberger in order to end the investigation that would have led to him,” Dershowitz continued. “Nobody suggested obstruction of justice. For obstruction by the president, you need clearly illegal acts. With Nixon — hush money paid, telling people to lie, destroying evidence. Even with Clinton, they said that he tried to influence potential witnesses not to tell the truth. But there’s never been a case in history where a president has been charged with obstruction of justice for merely exercising his constitutional authority. That would cause a constitutional crisis in the United States.”

The wings vs the wings. Where will it all lead to? I've no clue.

He's of course correct on Hillary. We may never know why she hasn't been prosecuted up to this point. She must know where at least 30 bodies are buried.

CNN's spin on current events:

White House turns to above-the-law political defense

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump's personal attorney's claim that the President cannot be guilty of obstructing justice raises two stunning possibilities that could cast the Russia investigation and its threat to his White House in a new and even more serious light.

First, Trump lawyer John Dowd's comments in an interview with Axios raise the question of whether Trump's legal team has already accepted that special counsel Robert Mueller has grounds to conclude Trump did in fact obstruct justice by firing FBI Director James Comey.

If that is the case, Dowd's interview, after a weekend of spinning by Trump and aides following the announcement of a plea deal for former national security adviser Michael Flynn, leads to another profound question.

Has the White House already embarked on a public relations strategy designed to lessen the chances that the Republican House would draw up articles of impeachment against the President based on any recommendation by Mueller?

Dowd's claims did not come in isolation. They followed the President's attacks on the FBI and his raising of doubts that justice would be served by the Mueller investigation at the weekend. "It's reputation is in Tatters - worst in History!" Trump tweeted.

On Monday, the President told reporters at the White House that he feels "very badly for Flynn" and then made an unsubstantiated claim against a target he often uses to distract from his own legal and political vulnerabilities.

"Hillary Clinton lied many times to the FBI, nothing happened to her. Flynn lied and they destroyed his life," Trump said. "It's very unfair."

Orchestrated offensive?

Taken together, the Dowd and Trump comments had the feel of an orchestrated offensive to repair the damage wrought over the weekend, to discredit Mueller's findings ahead of time and to offer ammunition for pro-Trump media.

Underlying Monday's flurry of controversy is a third issue -- whether Dowd's position has any legal grounding in itself, and whether it would stand up to challenge as a defense of the President's action if Mueller finds against him in an investigation that was originally set up to probe whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during last year's election.

Dowd's interview reverberated through Washington a day after veteran Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein said on NBC's "Meet the Press" that she saw the outlines of an obstruction of justice case forming against Trump.

It follows a series of tweets fired out by the President's Twitter account at the weekend that immediately turned the notion of obstruction of justice from a point of conversation around the Mueller probe, into an apparently active possibility.

I'd say it's more like the Trump Derangement Syndrome democrats vs reality.

What it will lead to is whatever these shysters and charlatans can cook up that they think they can impeach a duly elected president of the United States for, since that is EXACTLY what their intent is, and has been from the start. This has nothing to do with collusion because there never was any from the start. This entire fiasco was cooked up by deep state partisan leftist hacks on a false premise.

I'd like to see people go to prison, sure, but I mean the ones responsible for this witch hunt. If anyone is guilty of treason, it's them, the Feinsteins, the Muellers, the Rosensteins, the Comeys, the Clintons, the DNC... my God the list goes on forever.

Yups, and it's coming more into focus every day. And think about this, the involvement by the FBI - not the entire 35k employees, but the few who overlooked evidence, and the latest guy we're reading about. Apparently, some may have known that the 'Trump Dossier' was full of shit.

This so called "investigation" is looking worse and worse by the day. I don't think it's going to last that much longer actually, and it CERTAINLY will NEVER end up with IMPEACHING president Trump. If that's what these morons think they're going to do, then they're crazier than a sack of bat shit.

I see this thing being ended, and by a majority of people, not by just president Trump firing Mueller, which he has every right to do, but by calls from congress. This will end, and badly for the democrats. I think most Americans are getting tired of this crap, they see the idiots on tv doing a boogie dance when they hear FAKE NEWS, they see the news LYING and having to RETRACT comments, they see this all going ON and ON and going NOWHERE, and having NOTHING to do with COLLUSION.

Ya... this investigation doesn't have much life left in it.

Like I said, this charade isn't going to last much longer. The calls for it to end are starting, and the chorus will just grow louder and louder until AMERICA wants it to end, much like AMERICA wanted the McCarthy trials to end... it's gone on long enough, it's found NOTHING to do with COLLUSION, and it's painfully evident they WON'T either... time to shut it down... the radical dems have wasted enough money on this witch hunt already...

If Michael Flynn's 'crime' is all Robert Mueller has, it is time to move on

The radical left is just going to have to find a way to deal with the fact that president Trump going to be there for the next 3 years, and more than likely the next 7. Maybe they can have a second go outside and scream helplessly at the sky night.

She's using the ageless DNC trick of distraction from her OWN obstruction on behalf of her husband, and using the BLAME game of FAKE NEWS to see how many of her idiot voters will always agree with her....without them knowing how much of a Liar she is.
