And weirdly, another one of those games was 506 yards, which is what he tossed for last night. But he is now the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 500 yards 3 times in his career.

They were down by 11 points in the 4th quarter, but Ben threw for 228 more yards in the 4th quarter alone and brought them back to win the game. They are now 11-2, and won their division and also punched a ticket into the playoffs with the win as well. That makes 8 wins in a row now as well!
Now, is the game they have been waiting for all season, the NE Patriots come into Pittsburgh next weekend.
IF the Steelers were to win this game and up their record to 12-2, then they would also punch their ticket to home field advantage throughout the playoffs, which would be HUGE. IMO, and IF they advance in the playoffs, the one who gets that home field advantage is likely the team that wins in the playoffs.

Back to Big Ben. I've been saying all season that they "haven't been clicking" on all cylinders. And yet here they sit at 11-2 and won their division. Man, if they start clicking, that's it, game on!
Big Ben leads the entire NFL in passing yardage. Le'Veon Bell leads the entire NFL in rushing yardage. Antonio Brown easily leads the entire NFL in receiving yardage AND receiving catches. The Killer Bees are living up to their names.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger became the first player in NFL history to throw for more than 500 yards in a game twice during his career, shredding the Indianapolis Colts for 522 yards on Sunday. Roethlisberger already owned the Steelers team record with a 503-yard performance in 2009.
The Colts' secondary proved to be of little resistance against Roethlisberger and the Steelers passing attack. He racked up 63 passing yards on Pittsburgh's opening drive of the game and that was only the start. He finished the first quarter with 111 yards. A pair of long pass plays in the second quarter, including a 47-yard touchdown to Antonio Brown gave his total a significant boost before halftime.
Roethlisberger used all of his weapons to rack up yards. He's completed passes to nine different receivers, with five catching passes of at least 56 yards. Brown remained Roethlisberger's favorite target, hauling in 10 catches for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Four other players caught at least five passes with tight end Heath Miller also topping the 100-yard mark. Roethlisberger also set a team record with six touchdown passes, coming up one shy of tying the NFL record.

Ben Roethlisberger just put his name in the history books once again
Ben Roethlisberger was already part of one of the NFL's most exclusive groups. There have been only 21 games in NFL history in which a quarterback passed for 500 or more yards, and Roethlisberger had done it twice in his career, including the 4th highest passing game of all time, in which he threw for 522 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in 2014. The other names on that list won't surprise you. A limited sampling includes Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Dan Marino and Warren Moon.
But now, Roethlisberger has done something that none of them ever did. By throwing for 506 yards in the Pittsburgh Steelers' victory Sunday over the Baltimore Ravens, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 500 yards in three different games. The only other quarterback to do it more than once was Brees, so Roethlisberger has now at least tripled every other quarterback in NFL history besides Brees.
Every single one of those yards were necessary. The Steelers fell behind 31-23 and needed a late comeback featuring a ton of Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown, who finished with 213 receiving yards. Le'Veon Bell may have looked like he had a big game, but in actuality, he only carried the ball 13 times in total.
The stars of the show were Roethlisberger and Brown, who seem to have resurrected a Steelers' offense that looked dead early in the season. They have now scored 133 points in their last four games and look practically unstoppable on offense. We will know for sure next week, when they take on the New England Patriots, but for now, they are at least scoring at the clip we expected them to before the season.

Ben Roethlisberger's career has reached another historic milestone.
The Steelers veteran on Sunday became the first quarterback in NFL history to record three games with at least 500 passing yards as he led Pittsburgh to a 39-38 comeback win over the rival Ravens.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees is the only other quarterback who previously had two 500-yard games.
"Hall of Famer, it's as simple as that, and we are lucky he is on our team," Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey said, via ESPN.
Roethlisberger finished the Week 14 showdown with a career-high 44 completions for 506 yards and two touchdowns as the Steelers, who fought back from 11 points down after blowing a 14-point lead, clinched the AFC North for the third time in four seasons.
"He's a winner. He's going to find a way to win games," Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell added. "We were down 11 ... he put us in a position to win games. That's what you want in your quarterback. That's why I'm glad I play with him."
The Steelers (11-2) will look to secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC as they face their toughest test this season when they host the Patriots (11-2) at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday.
