What a terrible candidate Moore was. Any run of the mill lackey conservative would have won. This is on Bannon.

The people of Alabama just elected another typical politician...or should I say...Another new PAWN for the DNC to control in the Senate?

Just heard he won't be seated until after the present senate session is over. Boo Hoo!

Chucky Cheese Schumer has another slave for his barn. Jones is a common name, like Smith, Brown, and petey....all easily led by the nose to perform Liberal deeds.
Wonder if Jones will get his LIARS certificate soon???

Bannon supported moores opponent in the first round.

no he didn't. he's been a roy boy from the beginning-trump supported strange.

The race was an unusual one, as it pitted President Trump (http://thedailybeast.com/keyword/donald-trump), who backed Strange, against the same anti-establishment voices who propelled him to the White House. Former chief strategist Stephen Bannon (http://thedailybeast.com/keyword/steve-bannon) and his far-right website Breitbart, ex-adviser Sebastian Gorka, and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin all supported Moore and vigorously campaigned for him (http://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-factions-battle-in-bama-over-a-senate-race-and-a-presidencys-future). Meanwhile, the Senate Leadership Fund, a group aligned with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (http://thedailybeast.com/keyword/mitch-mcconnell) (R-KY), poured millions of dollars into supporting Strange, giving Moore the opportunity to paint his opponent as the establishment’s choice.

Well I guess that explains why it took trump so long to support him. In part.

I think the results were consequences. From even the President's tweet one can see the write-in votes hurt Moore.

In fairness, Moore wasn't Trump's original choice, but then he went full Bannon.

We'll have to see how this plays out going into 2018.

I remembered trump and Bannon supported opposing candidates. I had it backwards. Anyway. What a cluster.

They lose the vote but don't have to defend Moore and worse for Trump's supporters, Trump, from the #metoo that would have come with the "victory."

President tweet did not hurt Moore...it helped...Leftist lies and establishment Never Trumpers didnt help..

.......the next wave is coming `to the deserving who help make` this tragedy possible ...and I am not talking about Alabama people...

I never said it hurt, I was referring to his tweet regarding Jones last evening.

It seems that some over at PJ Media, including Roger Simon, one of the first, if not THE first to back Trump in the election, agrees with Alabama regarding Moore.

Luther Strange would have won, no doubt in my mind.

I think the republicans actually dodged a bullet on this one. The dems would have used Moore against president Trump and turned him into a massive fiasco. Now they cant, but the repubs still have a majority, just a little closer now, and still VP Pence is available to break ties.

This dem has less than 2 years at best. ANY decent conservative will unseat him in 2020. I think repubs should be quietly thankful Moore lost.
