Thank you all.

I'll never forget how I spent my 47th birthday :

That's my brand new sled with less than 20 miles on her, sunk in overflow on the Talkeetna river on a side channel in the Larson Creek area.

I shut her down when it became apparent that things just got Real Bad, but I ended up getting water into the engine anyway. I went wading, we pulled it up to the bank and out of the water, and by that time I almost had frostbite on my feet from that cold water over my knees. Built a fire to warm me up and dry me out a bit, and by that time the carbs had frozen on the snowmachine, so we left her there overnight while we went back to Wasilla to regroup, get equipment and more snowmachines, and returned yesterday.

Took about 12 hours to cut a trail overland to my machine and pull it back out to the trucks. Still, we had fun even though it was NOT what I wanted to happen.

I'll post a few videos of things soon, but for now I need to prepare to head back north to Barrow for a 2 month + trip.

I changed my mind, I'll choose another machine once I get there. I want one where the heat still works well. :)

Glad you're ok and made it out without frostbite, buddy. :)

Happy birthday my friend, ok a belated happy birthday.
Great to see that somebody is healthy enough to play in the snow. This flu has hit me pretty hard.
Whiskey shots have helped--they are magic... ;)--Tyr

Well that didn't go as planned. I hope you can get it restored to play condition before taking off again!
