Hey hjmick

if you’ve ever seen the show “Southern Charm”, which is set in Charleston, is it fairly representative of the social scene there? And is Thomas Ravenel at all well thought-of?

I have never watched the show, though I have heard of it. Ravenel, meh, I don't hear much about the guy save for his status as a reality "star". I know he was the state treasurer until he was charged with federal cocaine distribution charges and was eventually sentenced to 10 months in the pokey. I know he ran for the senate in '14 and came in third (Beat Lindsay Graham? Foolishness... Though I have yet to figure out why Graham is so popular here...). I always thought his run in '14 was more to promote the new show than a real attempt to gain office.

As for the social scene, I couldn't tell you...

One of the local bridges is named for his pappy...

Looks just like the new Sunshine Skyway bridge in St. Pete, FL.

Yeah, there are a couple of bridges out there that look like this, I think there's one in Massachusetts...

One of my guilty pleasures...
On the show he is a real hound. Knocked up an 18 year old, and though she's as immature as it gets, he every so often spends the night with her. Frankly, he's so old it seems gross.

But I am attracted to your city. If it wasn't so hot, I'd seriously consider it as a potential retirement spot. I need to head North, though, as I like cooler temps, a New England autumn, and snow.

i don't think we get as much ice as you do. we rarely get freezing rain-plenty of snow, though
