Look, we don't want to micromanage the board on little things, or every fight. But there HAS been an uptick lately in comments about others family members, even if made in jest, and even if indirectly and meant to be funny. If the person receiving sees it differently, and feels insulted as if you did go after a family member, that's what matters to me.

"Yo momma, did she have any that lived, she should have aborted you..."

They may not be your typical attacks, and you may see them as jokes - but others may get insulted, including readers.

So let's all dial it back a little in that department, so that we don't have to micromanage/warn/thread ban.

Thanks!

Roger wilco, I'll stick to directly insulting members and not via their family members, and I expect members will do the same by me.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Thank you and have a nice day.Don't be a whistledick. People who have to push the edge on rules are in fact the creators of more rules to govern the old rules. Little common sense works. If you have to wonder or ask, it's probably best you don't.

Ya see, responding as such is what starts threads downhill right from the beginning, and serves no purpose but to disrupt. There's been far too much of this lately, and less and less and less actual discussion about any issues/articles posted.

This is what I just posted in a thread that appears to have been ruined, and this is a good place to post it as a reminder.
...

BOTH and ALL doing the non-stop jabbing, and lowering themselves to non-stop flaming and ruining threads with tripe - PLEASE stop.

I have been quite laid back, just watching things, and asking folks nicely to stop. I will get into thread bans without warning though. If you know you post like this, and suddenly can't get back into a thread - then you know you were likely out of line and/or ruining the thread.
