I say mobilize the National Guard and start arresting CA officials that think they can just IGNORE and even blatantly oppose federal law, before there's nothing left of the state, and while the National Guard is in there round up every single last illegal alien and ship their asses back out to where ever the fuck they came from. I mean for Christ sake, when is enough, enough?

Not to mention San Fran... that would work.

Just sayin' though... shit gets any worse in that state and it will take the military to straighten it out.

The National Guard would be Californians. Not a good idea.

Federalizing the POLICE FORCES across the state by the President is more likely.

And then...we have this...
https://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/posse+comitatus
Posse Comitatus
In 1878 the use of a posse comitatus was limited by the passage of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. This act, passed in response to the use of federal troops to enforce reconstruction policies in the southern states, prohibited the use of the U.S. Army to enforce laws unless the Constitution or an act of Congress explicitly authorized such use. This act was amended five times in the 1980s, largely to allow for the use of military resources to combat trafficking in illicit narcotics.

Though rarely used, the posse comitatus continues to be a modern legal institution. In June 1977, for example, the Aspen, Colorado, sheriff called out the posse comitatus—ordinary citizens with their own weapons—to hunt for escaped mass murderer Theodore ("Ted") Bundy. Many states have modern posse comitatus statutes; one typical example is the Kentucky statute enacted in 1962 that gives any sheriff the power to "command and take with him the power of the county or a part thereof, to aid him in the execution of the duties of his office" (Ky. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 70.060 [Baldwin 1996]).

The way they're acting they're not part of the United States anyway, not to mention how many of them aren't legal American citizens either, so it's debatable whether or not Posse Comitatus would even apply. The use of the military in this case could arguably be against traitors, anarchists, dissidents and illegal aliens, to regain control of a state of the United States of America from said rogue agents.

Can't do that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act

But it would be awfully good if the Jarheads and Squids could.'.

Coasties and Air Force do SAR. Coast Guard has a unique position that makes it immune from the Posse Comitatus.
Only the US Marshalls have a broader scope of jurisdiction than the Coast Guard.

Ok, please define "winner" for me.
A winner is someone who succeeds in life, someone with a lot of disposable income who knows how to live, someone with family and friends building an empire from within. People who win at life love California, because it doesn't matter who's in charge of the government, there's the beaches and beautiful people taking precedence. Plus, it's a state filled with people who love to spend money on everything, rich or poor, they spend. And people spending money provides the opportunity at winning.

So what's your definition of a winner, sir?

You have no idea what the hell you're talking about. California is currently overrun with ILLEGAL ALIENS SUCKING off the states welfare, and thus the state is over a BILLION dollars in DEBT, not to mention that now they fear the MASS EXODUS of MONEY from the state because of the NEW HIGHER TAXES, ONCE AGAIN.

The state is a LEFTIST TOILET, and it won't be long until it's into a FULL IMPLOSION. People are LEAVING in DROVES, and that's people with MONEY, the SUCCESSFUL ones that you refer to... they're LEAVING...

Sir? I would have thought my name was clearly feminine.

Annnnyway, I would never define winning based on the amount of money one has or spends. In fact, I would not even classify people as winners, and I've always hated the term "loser". It is a very mean thing to say about someone.

But to to answer your question, to "win" at life is to know where you are going when you die, to share life with someone you truly love, and to be as healthy as possible.
I would add having close family in the mix, but we can't always control that.
Having a lot of money is fine, but doesn't make you anything special. Harvey Weinstein has a boatload of it.

A winner is a moral, upright and brave dependable person that has kindness and justice in their heart.
Which sadly by its definition leaves 99.9% of Democrats out.
History and reality both reveal that California is hellbent on establishing its own socialist paradise
to wit, it places value on money, greed, power and a failed political ideology-Socialism .....
That by any decent standard does not represent a winner, IMHO...--TYR

Maám, I agree with your wise and shining truth as given.
I've always thought that the name Abbey, was a beautiful--female name.....
And yes we in the South(raised in the old South), that were raised right and morally always say , yes Ma'am, no Ma'am , yes Sir and no Sir to adults we address....
I now see that many of these young adults here in stores at cash registers , IN THEIR 20/30's, give me a curious or confused look when I reply yes Ma'am and/or no Ma'am to them...
Which to me says, their parents have not raised them to understand that respect and politeness are things one must embrace if they are to be decent and honorable.-Tyr

I do not deny that the landscape is lovely, beautiful and often even majestic to behold
or that some of its residents are kind and decent people.
I was speaking of those that are of a political ideology, and/or blinded by the decades of that insane, crap being taught in schools and promoted by that state and city governments there.

In FL, you can sleep on the beach, pier, dock wherever you happen to "fall asleep" in your shorts. In CA on the coast, you have to wear long pants and L/S shirt at night. Kelp beds, especially north of Santa Barabara.
Get caught in them and you are dead unless you are a good swimmer.

California will always be the number one destination for winners in the United States. It has the diversity of people, culture, and climate most desired by cosmopolitans.
I don't think diversity makes any difference in winning vs losing.

I think to truly be a winner, you have to have accomplishments and you have to be generally respected by people around you. You can't just declare yourself a winner - that would qualify every delusional, self-congratulatory babbling idiot in every psycho ward and CNN office in the world as a potential "winner". We can't have that.

Right on the mark my friend......
Sad and pathetic is the reality that in the dem/lib world you are a winner if you announce your hatred of the Republican, Conservatives and Christians, while you lie about your magnificent tender hearts and complete support for the common man..
Shocking, how greatly that lie is swallowed by the American populace that the liberal education system has now so effectively educated to be ignorant, gullible and blind.
This is their greatest success. Pulling off such a deception and managing to convince millions that they, the libs/dems , are the good guys!
True winners they are not but master deceivers they are. -Tyr

For instance, I don't care much for material possessions. Most of the things I have that I care about are functional. A person who gauges winning and losing by how much crap he has accumulated might see otherwise. He has stuff just to have it because it exists and the Jones's next door have one.

Like I said. Hard to call someone a winner, or loser for that matter if they don't give a crap about what you hold dear.

Not to mention San Fran... that would work.

Just sayin' though... shit gets any worse in that state and it will take the military to straighten it out.

There is nothing left in San Fran.

Liberal Whiners chased the military out clear back in 1996.
Air Station Alemeda is gone. Station Mare Island is gone.
All that is left is USCG, and not going to chase us out!

Funky. I gotta disagree with you. I am a winner. I have survived cancer, a heart attack, two wars, and two EMT's who brought me back to life TWICE with CPR. Then I have been blessed with a lady who has been by my side for 48 years. Given us two son's. And I can brag about having SIX of the greatest Grandchildren any Grandparent could ever ask for.
It wouldn't matter if I was dirt poor, didn't have a home, or a car. I have a FAMILY to keep me feeling SUCCESSFUL until the day I die. In my book. THAT'S A WINNING COMBINATION.

Or lots of Jellyfish...

Jellyfish used to nail me every time I brough some one in!
One lady yelled at me that I was responsible for HER kids.
Told her to shove it up her ass, watch her own kids, and complain to the BMCM
that ran the beach.

BMCM Ladd shot her down really fast!

I recognize that you are new. However, with this post you are derailing the thread, purposefully or not. We've had some problems with another member doing this, resulting in more moderation, which we are loathe to do. I've read through to the end of the thread thus far, yep, it's being derailed.

So, this is a warning to avoid such posts as this. It will result in threads being moved; the poster being thread-banned, i.e., no longer able to post in the thread; or the thread being shut down. Eventually sooner or later, the poster who continues to do so will be banned.

Please be advised.

I'm closing this thread, it's run it's course and is going off the rails. Usually, as of late, I'd just delete some posts and start thread banning. In this case, we'll just let this devolving thread serve as a warning to all to not join in derailing.
