That's the way this headline SHOULD read...

California to register illegal aliens to vote – automatically

They've gone too far. If they think they're going to do this and then have their states votes counted in a presidential election, they've gone too far. I suggested we turn lose the guard in CA to take the state back from the anarchists, now I think people should start demanding it.

Now tell me again why the democrats have shut down the government? Oh yeah... that's right... because they want to give amnesty to about 11 million illegal aliens. Why? VOTES. It just makes my blood boil to see people willfully working to hand over a state in America to a bunch of third world trash illegals that don't even belong there, and then think that we're going to allow them pick the president of the US. This is the kind of thing that just makes my blood boil.

World's 6th largest economy, or so they say, yet the highest poverty level out of 50 states.

I'll say it again for the umpteenth time .... of ALL the things the Federal government has its nose in, you would think controlling who holds the highest office in the US would be on their agenda. The President of the US is a Federal representative for ALL 50 states, not individual ones. voting laws should be Federal, and maintained and monitored by Federal authority.

Voter IDs should be a requirement. And I don't want to hear crap about it. I can't even buy Sudafed without an ID. Can't drive without a license. Can't get into a bar without a photo ID. Can't hold a job in Texas without proper. Can't collect welfare without it. The only people that have an issue with it are the same ones above registering illegals to vote.

I say keep the land, kick the traitors out. Why give up good land to less than 1% of the population?

Regardless, SOMETHING needs to be done. Either send the damn military in there to start arresting people and charging them with Sedition and Treason, or take the legal approach but in the meantime nullify any and all votes from CA in federal elections. They're going to RADICAL LEFT themselves right into a war.

The More I think about it, the feds would be perfectly within their right to nullify any and all votes from CA in a federal election, same from NYC if they pull this crap... or ANYWHERE that tries to allow illegal aliens to vote, just DON'T COUNT THEIR VOTES, add Shitcago to the list. Well guess what, Trump would win reelection so huge it would make history. The dems are going to dem themselves right into obscurity. But make no mistake, at this point, the dems are going to do what they need to do keep their illegal alien votes, and they've decided it's crunch time so they're not even going to hide it. They're all about illegal aliens for VOTES. It's got nothing to do with CHILDREN or DREAMERS or JACK SHIT... it's AAAAALLL about VOTES, period.

SIMPLY CAN NOT BE TRUE.
IF IT WAS TRUE, THEN THE IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OF CALIFORNIA STATE GOVERNMENT , BY FEDERAL TROOPS WOULD BE THE ONLY ACTION TO TAKE--AS SUCH INVALIDATION OF CITIZEN'S RIGHT TO VOTE WOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY ABROGATED AND GIVEN TO ANY PERSON ON U.S, SOIL.

WHETHER TRUE OR NOT, CALIFORNIA NEEDS TO BE SEVERELY DEALT WITH BY ITS CITY OFFICIALS IN ITS SANCTUARY CITIES ARRESTED AND IMPRISONED AS THEY OPENLY BREAK ESTABLISHED LAWS.

Trump should start with Californification and their leading the way for illegals to thumb their noses at our laws.
My personal opinion is, start arresting these vermin and shoot them if need arises.
But then again, I tend to see the correct, fastest and least costly way to solve problems.
Dems/Libs and Socialists are openly and systematically flaunting our laws and acting as enemies of this nation--along with their media allies.
Lord help them if a civil war ever occurs here.
If a civil war, then, a fine tree or handy wall would be the call for the day with such anti-american vermin, IMHO.-TYR

It's true... and judging by all the comments left after this story, the majority opinion is, CA votes shouldn't be counted in federal elections. So I say make that true with anywhere that has declared themselves a sanctuary city, or if they want to go as far as sanctuary state like CA, then the whole states votes don't get counted.

Pretty simple, you allow illegal aliens to vote in your state or municipality, your votes don't count.

One of my FIRST ideas LONG ago was to kick them all out and give the land to Israel. ME problem solved :)

The fact is, you only need to get rid of the coast, and Sacramento. Most of Southern and Central CA is desert. The people that live out in the desert (minus Palm Springs) are as conservative and redneck as anyone. The state is like all states. The government leeches all crowd into the cities, and by sheer over-breeding in their roach motels get more votes.

Illinois is the same way. Chicago dictates for the entire state what one little blight on the Lake wants. Where I lived was as country as it gets. I live in the city here in Texas, but when I go do anything I'm 15 minutes from NOT in the city. In 30 minutes I can be in another world where the riff-raff is not tolerated.

A good demo guy could blow CA at the San Andreas Fault and watch everything west of it slide into the ocean :)

Yeah I had to drive semi all up and down the west coast from LA to Seattle, and CA is some of the most boring driving in America, until you get up north. I've been all over out west, on every interstate and in every major city. Montana is still my favorite but after this last visit, that's changed too. It's not the green, lush Montana I remember from 30 yeras ago, it's burnt, it's brown, it's hot and its dry, not to mention the smoke. The more I hear about all the crap that happens in other states, the more I'm convinced that right here in this beautiful Wisconsin River Valley in Wisconsin, which is a beautiful state all in all, I'm convinced that I'm living in one of the best places in America. So it gets a little cold in the winter, big deal, it kills all the damn bugs.

What can't be true about California? They're trying to tax space travel NOW and there's not even any such thing yet.

I believe what that space tax is all about is taxing things like satellite lanches and similar activities. There's lots of alternatives like Florida and Kodiak that come to mind right off the bat.

The idiots still haven't seen the writing on the wall with the mass exodus of business relocating to another tax friendly state. I'm all for it, stay the course, liberals!

I'll go out on a limb here and say that before the next federal election, you won't see illegal aliens voting in CA, or CA votes won't count, period, and I think while the topic is being discussed, that will also extend to ANYWHERE that it is known where illegal aliens votes.

Actually the democrats, once again, pushing the limits so far past the pale, have actually brought the issue to the forefront, and the push back won't be what they want. They have cut off their nose to spite their face once again.

I think it gets the blind eye treatment until it's too late. Then haggling over it will result in "it's too late this time but we'll have it fixed next time".

I prefer YOUR option.

There are AMERICAN CITIZENS (legal ones) who live in California. If they are prevented from voting in a Federal Election. The state government can, and should be Brought Up On Violations of the U.S. Constitution in taking away the RIGHTS of those American Citizens.

It would be a major CLASS ACTION SUIT the state could never Win.

IDK, pard... it's all over twitter and now Rush is hammering on it... that ain't no blind eye. Rush was saying earlier that his listening audience is now up around 34 million. That's pretty incredible. The guy is a power house. So if he's railing against this shit, then it's too late for any blind eye treatment. Next will be Hannity and Lou Dobbs.

Does Congress take the State of California to court? Which court? Or does the DOJ do it? If you take a State to court, where do you start?

This again goes back to something else I've said before, and DO note it's always the same state I'm saying it about. It's like a 3 years old in the guise of a State. The Federal government, IMO, should have a shortcut to the Supreme Court. It's right across the street from the Capitol. I've never heard of Higher Authority having to appeal via a lower authority.

If Republicans in Congress weren't complicit in this traitorous behavior, they could change this immediately.

While it's true that by law states are in charge of their own elections, including Presidential elections, and it would require a Constitional amendment to change that, it is also true that CONGRESS is in charge of certifying the electoral college and the only thing that stops them from passing a law that says that any state that doesn't require a,b,and c when voting won't have their votes certified by Congress is Congress itself.

My vote gets you "pass the Amendment". Obviously States being in charge of voting is akin to letting the 9 years old granddaughter be in charge of ny bank card and PIN. While CA is obviously THE worst, it is by far not the only State with questionable voting rules. Responsibility given is responsibility that can be taken away if one cannot handle it.

I think you'd see an executive order from Trump saying that if you allow illegal aliens to vote, then your votes won't be counted in any federal election, and he'd win any challenge to that because it's as plain as the nose on people's face that it's against federal law.

So at this point, I'm rather hoping California pushes this. Be nice not to have to worry about their votes.

But because of the way the COTUS words things, it isn't quite that simple. While the feds can't say "you must only allow citizens to vote" for example, they COULD say "we will not certify any state's vote if that state doesnt' make sure that only citizens are voting"

Just a technicality , but you have to do things the right way or courts will rule against you.

But it is NOT against federal law, and an EO would be unconstitutional. Remember. OBAMA did whatever he wanted via EO without regard to whether it was legal or not, and we didn't like it one bit. The POTUS does not have ANY authority over elections. PERIOD. Congress does.

I am concerned with the problem itself. The election is for the President of the United States. Congress needs to take it away from the states however they have to do it in order to make the process airtight and legal.

On the reality side of things, it's total BS that non-US citizens be allowed to vote for President. California needs a comeuppance period. They're basically running their own country and damn the Constitution.

THAT IS TRUE MY FRIEND.
SINCE ILLEGAL VOTES ARE BEING COURTED(BY DEMS DOING THIS CRAP) BECAUSE THEY OVERWHELMINGLY FAVOR ONE PARTY(THE DEMS)-EACH ILLEGAL VOTE (UNCONSTITUTIONALLY COUNTED) NULLIFIES A VOTE FOR THE OTHER POLITICAL PARTY'S CANDIDATE..
THAT IS ALREADY AN ILLEGAL ACT.
ILLEGAL BECAUSE IT WORKS TO DESTROY THE PROCESS AND WILL ULTIMATELY TURN THIS NATION INTO A DICTATORSHIP IF ALLOWED.
California needs to be dealt with now, not later. They need heads to roll and arrests to be made, IMHO.-TYR

This is the same state where two whacko Democrats have introduced a bill that would tax businesses on the money that they are going to repatriate to the US since the GOP lowered the tax rate for them to be able to do so.

Democrats are just stupid. These companies say "okay great lower tax rate if we bring that money back now, okay we'll bring it back" and Democrats respond with "excellent, when you bring it back we will hit you with a bonus tax"
