Wonder if their "Kneeling BLM" good faith would allow them to go to the white house if invited?

Go.... >>> "Patriots" :salute:

Truth be told i don't know how the patriots have "stood" this year on that issue. I haven't seen a game all year and I am not watching the super bowl. I know the Eagles knelt by and large. Not sure about the patriots

I loved Terrell Owens. I wanted him to win a super bowl. But mcnabb got tired.

I will!

What a wonderful article, at a time when there are so many bad sports stories.
This is why I have come to really admire this team.

Between the Pats cheating record and Gronkowski's recent dirty hit, we have a solid difference in integrity for this year's SB.

One thing is certain, whatever the outcome, many of the Eagles players have their priorities straight and will be great examples of solid Christian men. And that makes me happy.

:)

No I didn't. Too many kneelers on that team.

But you and abbey are good people. So I will read it tonight.

Not sure what the "too many kneelers" comment is about. There were 2 or 3 players that kneeled (and it ticked me off) but that's it, and they all stopped a while ago. Anyway, I liked the article.

Being from the Philly area, and a lifetime Eagles Fan, with all of my grandchildren as well.

I know, Philadelphia FANS would not, or will not settle or be happy about any MEMBER of the EAGLES, or the PHILLIES taking a knee when the National Anthem is played.

Remember....PHILLY FANS are noted, and remembered for BOOING SANTA CLAUS.

More than a dozen members of the New England Patriots took a knee for the national anthem prior to Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.
The group included James White, Stephon Gilmore, Brandin Cooks, Lawrence Guy, Alan Branch, Malcom Brown, Malcolm Butler, Brandon Bolden, Devin McCourty, Trey Flowers, Deatrich Wise, Jonathan Jones, Elandon Roberts, Duron Harmon, Adam Butler, Jordan Richards, Johnson Bademosi.

So you do know what I'm referring to. And if I said I don't like teams where players make the black power salute during the anthem you would again know what I was talking about.

That and the "men" start wearing pants on the field again.

Yeah. And as I said I haven't seen a game all year. For this reason among others. When kaepernick was the only jackass doing it, I rooted against the forty whiners no matter who they were playing. Now I just root against the entire league. And I fail to see anything good in a team or league where kneeling or black power is embraced and/or tolerated.

Wow, what bunch of kneelers! And I recall that half the team didn't accept the White House invitation last year, including Tom Brady.

Russ I didn't really mean to go in this direction. One kneeler, IMO, is one kneeler too many. Goodell is allowing players to use their unfair access to the media as a political sounding board. That's not why I watch football. I do the same with music, and everything else. Keep your shit to yourself, or in a proper forum. If you use MY entertainment forum to push your political views, you just lost me and my money.

On the lighter side, you're trying to sell to a tough crowd. When I did watch the NFL I wanted the Eagles to lose. They're the Eagles. Nothing is going to make them NOT the Eagles :)

I'd be more interested in watching the Deadskins play. Then at least I'd have somebody to hate.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't like the Patriots any better. When just the game of football is on the table, the moral high ground is irrelevant to me. Play football. What they're paid for.

That’s all good; I don’t care if anyone watches or doesn’t. The protests are very off-putting. My problem was that you were saying you didn’t like the Eagles for having “too many kneelers”, when clearly it’s been going on, even worse, all over the League. You can hate the League, hate the Eagles, that’s your prerogative. Let’s just be fair about why.

The point was simply that this is a team with a very obvious Christian spirit (not everyone’s cup of tea I know), and their opponent has stolen signals to win. Good vs Evil, if you will. (If you knew Russ’ sense of humor, you would know that is his way). That’s all.

Thanks for saying we are good people! I fail every day, I’m sorry to say.

Y'all are welcome.

truth be told, i trusted a patriots fan friend of mine who posted a picture of the patriots standing and the eagles kneeling, which obviously, based on what you posted, was misleading. I don't know where LongTermGuy is coming from. He obviously didn't do his homework to say go patriots based on politics. I haven't followed the NFL all year so i didn't know one way or the other. I liked Jerry Jones' stance pretty well. the cowboys knelt before the anthem but not during and then didn't kneel again ever. But i have better things to do than watch a league that's a shadow of what it used to be with terrible officiating and then to have players all over disrespecting the flag.
