How did ya manage that?

I've had so much shit in my eyes working maintenance, just comes with the territory, but that's some painful stuff, and the more you touch it the worse it hurts... SO DON'T TOUCH IT...

Sorry!

Your friend:

http://www.debatepolicy.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=11231&stc=1That's not going to help. Are you kidding? As anal as I am? My nails are perfectly manicured and clean at all times unless I am in the middle of working. They get squared away REAL quick when I'm done :).

I scratched it running . I should leave it at that and let your imaginations wander over the many ways I could have pulled that feat off .

Was one of those days where it wasn't hot or cold, so I had on a hoodie and a ball cap and was sweating. I kept wiping the sweat out of my eyes with the back of the hoodie sleeve. Best I can figure, THAT is what did it.

Your eyeball is like skin and will grow back (yes, I have done this before playing basketball). But it is extremely painful. Your eye involuntarily closes, is extremely light sensitive, and when you overuse the other eye to compensate it stops focusing. Not to mention it feels like it is going to explode out of your face non-stop.

So, I had a real fun day yesterday :)

High_Plains....Don't make me laugh! I don't have to be walking. I could just be standing, swing my arm, or bump my hand and it's INSTANT BRUISE..from all the blood thinners I take. PLAVIX and CRESTOR are instant bruise...even when I sleep. As for older....uh huh. Now in my 72nd year of antagonism toward liberals.:laugh:

I can look at them the wrong way and get a bruise. Whatever they did when they had a half dozen IVs in each of my forearms it has permanently jacked them up. I've got a bruise right now I have no idea where it came from.

They don't hurt. Kinda ugly though.

So, I had a real fun day yesterday :)

I briefly hit the internet on my cell phone while out today. It's raining hard today here and it's gloomy as hell. I was feeling rather gloomy myself. Then I sat there and briefly read the forum. And then I came across this thread and read these 2 posts.

I need to thank you for making the entire day brighter for me!! I think I literally laughed out loud. No lie, one of these short laughs...

Well Hell, I guess as long as I could brighten up YOUR day ....:slap:

:)

Well, you don't want your day brighter, it'll further hurt your eyes!! :)

I don't know what you're using to help with any lingering pain, but try "Rohto cool". It's like visine, but stronger, and for me relieves dry eyes and small pain associated with eye strain. Helps me anyway. But I know you and your big bald melon head, probably gonna tough it out! Not me, I'mm off to CVS and I'll ask the pharmacist what's best for a paper cut! I'm a wuss like that. :)

I "re-located" my granddaughter's antibiotic eye drops from when she had pink eye. As long as I got the infection side covered, I'm good. I guess scuzzy little 9 years old granddaughters are good for something .

Don't know how it is where YOU live, but our pharmacists don't participate in getting hurt after hours nor Sundays. And you're damned right I'm going to suck it up before I go to an ER on a Fri or Sat. I'll have to try and remember the Rohto drop thingy. Never heard of them. I can see me now ...

"My klutzy buddy Jimbob recommends I uses these ....He's an expert on boo boo's"

Hope you know I'm just fucking with you. I wouldn't truly mess with you about your health, and you know that. I hope when I say shit like that - that's it's something lame and you have to deal with a little pain. :)

I think what you did is a corneal abrasion? Any scratch to the eyes can be painful as hell! A patch? Look like a pirate! :) And I would also think keeping it wet with drops, and the one I mention has menthol in it. Don't ask me what it does, but it's "cold" feeling going in, but really helps with dryness and harsh itching and what not. I doubt it'll help you, but it won't hurt to try for a few bucks! If it is a corneal abrasion, they say it only lasts a few days. A few painful days. :)

When I post something like this I do so in full awareness I will be taking incoming fire :).

I don't recall what they actually call it. Last time it happened some scuzzy jarhead who DIDN'T clean or trim his nails Abbey stuck his finger in my eye playing basketball back in the 80s. Guess that's one way to win  I DID have to wear an eye patch that time. Looked pretty cool with my cammies :)
