I was going to say Happy Valentine's Day to all the ladies of the board, and I do Ladies!! But I guess it is sort of a holiday for the guys too. But let's face it, this is a day for the women to be spoiled. A lot of men are out buying roses today, or maybe even some jewelry. But you won't see much the other way around. I'm cool with that though!! :) :)

After 27 years of marriage, I don't want or need gifts or roses. We know how we feel about each other. Cards with something hand written by your love are nice, and I do enjoy dinner out.
A Manhattan or Dirty Martini and good conversation are my way of doing it up.

We're coming up on 24 years, and I hate to say it, but Valentine's day is kinda just another day now. :( I mean, I still always get her some sort of flower arrangement, and I did again this year. And once again, she'll make believe how much she appreciates them, and then watch a re-run of a TV show and go to bed. LOL

Doesn't it sound homophobic? It looks as if you are violating Human Rights of sexual minorities in your State. http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/standart/acute.gif

This whole week I'm teaching in spec ed. The kids are pretty low, like kindergarteners in early teen bodies. What is great though, is that they will hug you like the 5 year olds. All day, "Happy Valentine's Day!" Lots of candy and a end of day party. Not often one gets that in middle school. ;)

It takes a 'special person' to be a special ed teacher. I enjoy subbing there, once in awhile. Couldn't do it all the time. "Math time" I was with a 7th grader, he was supposed to be working on work sheets to fill in missing number. I.e., 2, 3, 4, __, 6, 7.

He wouldn't do it, instead he wanted to trace numbers, instead started putting dots all over the page. He can't help it, but I vacillated between wanting to scream and falling asleep.

No way could I do 1st grade, between my hearing and my sarcasm they'd be frustrated and crying all day long!
