A second federal judge issued a ruling temporarily blocking the DACA program from ending.
On Tuesday, a New York-based district judge ruled the obama-era program could not be rescinded pending a decision on the merits of these cases.
He also called on the federal government to continue to process DACA applications.
Tuesday’s ruling follows a similar decision last month by a San Francisco-based district judge.
Following that decision, the Trump administration called on the Supreme Court to review the case.
The White House has set a March 5 deadline to solve the DACA issue.
Meanwhile, Senate Republicans are already facing an uphill battle over immigration as a day of debate turned into a day of mudslinging.
Open-ended discussions kicked off on the floor of the upper chamber Tuesday, with party leaders arguing over how to begin.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tried to set up a vote on a sanctuary city amendment on two different occasions, but it was immediately shot down by top Democrat Chuck Schumer, who argued DACA and border security were not addressed.
This comes as President Trump warned “it’s now or never” for DACA.

Should click on the link and look at the comments section following this article. People are going nuts. I agree with the ones that are saying how can you enforce an EO that is unconstitutional?

I'm a bit lost though on this March 5th deadline. IF March 5th rolls around and no agreement is reached, does DACA end or not?

It is bullshit.

Why does a illegal 'Executive Order' override Law and the Constitution?

Got a huge problem with that concept and behavior!

These judges know damn well that an EO does not override the Constitution. They are just trying to tie it all up in the courts so "Trump doesn't win". Some would call that an abuse of power....

How is it unconstitutional?

Edict and Executive Order bypasses and circumvents our ESTABLISHED Laws?

Violating our published and established laws is illegal.
The U.S Federal Code of regulations is LAW, supported by the Constitution.
liberals want to by-pass that. (I will never give liberals the benefit of a capital "L")

Whys is that so hard to comprehend?

How is it unconstitutional? The President cannot legislate. Congress does. That's one. Two, immigration is a topic covered in the Constitution and pertinent Amendments. The law is clear. People in the US unlawfully are unlawful immigrants. That = criminals. Obama can't just sign an EO saying it's not so. He would have to propose an Amendment via Congress.

We're back to a lower court "judge," ahem... IF you want to call them that, acting as though they have MORE POWER than the PRESIDENT. I think this truly needs to be sorted out.

Second, this EO the kenyan wrote up was illegal on it's face, and it expires. So not only does this little lower court judge think he has more power than any of the three coequal branches of government, he thinks he can extend an illegal EO past it's expiration date.

This is absolute lunacy, and I think that at this point, these ASS CLOWN leftist activist judges that pull this SHIT ought to PAY SOME CONSEQUENCES when they're overruled and shown they had NO authority to even TRY their crap.

I've been reading the comments about this, and people HATE this shit. These little lower court judges should NOT have the power to interfere with HIGHER forms of government. Congress needs to reel these little fuck stains in and assert their constitutional authority over THEM.
