Before the CG refined it's Command Center Watches, I was once directed to launch a boat to tow
16 loaded stone barges that broke from a mooring in the NY East River. It was a Yeoman on watch
at Group New York.
I laughed and told her to call the NY Tug exchange, but still sent a boat to enforce
a safety zone.
A 41 foot UTB can barely tow one loaded barge without burning out the reduction gears (transmission).
