MOSCOW (Reuters) – At least 37 people died in a fire in a shopping mall in the Siberian city of Kemerovo on Sunday, Russian news agencies reported, citing authorities.
News agencies said more than 100 people had been evacuated from the mall, which contains cinemas, restaurants and shops.
There was no immediate indication of the cause of the fire. Television pictures showed people jumping from the windows of the mall, which was engulfed in black smoke.
Kemerovo is a coal-producing region some 3,600 (http://www.oann.com/fire-in-shopping-mall-in-siberia-kills-five-and-injures-32/#) km (2,200 miles) east of Moscow.

Seems like a lot of people to get caught in a public mall fire, doesn't it? I don't know what a Siberian mall looks like but I would guess it isn't made mostly of glass and outside exits like ours are.

Wow. Just looked at the pic (follow the link). That things 3-4 stories tall. Not too many exits showing. I've never been in one that was more than 2 stories, and mostly one story. All opened from the stores to the outside (did electrical work in a few as well).
