UPDATED 1:29 PM PT — Mon. March 26, 2018Protests erupt in Southern California over the weekend as the Orange County Board of Supervisors moves forward with a controversial plan to relocate a homeless encampment to a popular Irvine location.
The proposal would relocate 400 people near the Orange Country Great Park just 40 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
County officials are set to meet (http://www.oann.com/homeless-encampment-proposal-angers-southern-calif-residents/#) Tuesday to discuss the relocation efforts, following the order of a federal judge to construct housing plans.
Irvine’s city commissioner attended the protest rally and said the homeless occupants the county wants to relocate are people who have refused to accept handout benefits.

“I hate to say it this way, but the homeless that are planning to come here they really represent the worst of them because they are the ones that aren’t following the rules, that don’t want to give up the drugs, who don’t want to accept services or housing, and to put those across the street from sports fields and a senior community in my mind is just an incompatible use,” stressed Irvine Planning Commissioner Anthony Kuo.
The county may also decide to open additional encampments in Laguna Nigel and Huntington Beach after recently closing a massive homeless camp along the Santa Ana river bed.

This what us Southern folk call "your chickens coming home to roost". Leftwingnut policies finally f-ing THEM over. Bet they're glad they feel sorry for all those homeless druggies and bums now that they're coming to live in their back yards. Can't say anyone deserves it more. :)
