No joke either.

I thought I drank my usual amount, but may have been a tad more yesterday. I didn't count, but it was obviously a lot of cups.

Somewhere in the late afternoon I felt shaky (I had stopped a few hours before), and didn't even think of my stomach. But then I got a little sweaty, and THEN I felt it swelling and about to come up! I ran to the porcelain god, and yacked, and it looked like all coffee, just a dark blackish/brownish color. I also didn't eat anything at all yesterday.

No doubt it was the coffee, I felt the symptoms and saw the afterwards. No more of that for me, that didn't feel good at all.

I'm still trying to quit caffeinated altogether, but as you can see that's not going very well. I cut back a ton today and will keep trying to just worry about drinking less. No more than 3 cups a day for me, and I'm hoping within 6 months it's all decaf. I feel better with the slow approach then just trying to switch, as that's why I usually fail.

2-3 cups in the morning is all...just for the wake-up taste of French Vanilla.

Caffeine does not really affect me....but if I put milk or cream in it, instant laxative!

To this day. My wife has two cups in the morning only. I, on the other hand. Drink all but those two she drank, from our Mr. Coffee...filled twice each day.

Joke was, and always has been for me....Give me a Blood Test, and 3/4 of it contains Caffine, in generous amounts until I go to bed...and sleep like a baby.

Tell everybody what is in the rest of those ingredients. The Kool Aid guy is not coming to save your ass from the bug juice. The brig guards might. A week on bread and water can cure a lot.

And this is a joke. I would never call a man a liar when he's bsing.

Yeah Gunny. That colorfull stuff we always found on the mess-decks made from (if it was possible) 150% Sugar. Strong enough to clean all of the Fire-fighting fittings on hoses, nozzles, and even remove rust from anchor chain.:laugh::laugh:

No lie everybody. The Ship's Dentist was always busy. Even for us coffee drinkers. You had to see the inside of our cups to understand what a 24 hour, cold cup of coffee did to change things.

These were the BUG JUICE dispensers on most navy ships 24/7

Damn... I didn't think it was possible to OD on coffee. I grind my own beans of Hawaiian Kona coffee, but I don't use much and I drink a whole pot every morning. I guess most would say it's pretty weak. Sometimes when I wake up really early I get up and make coffee, have a couple cups and then go BACK TO SLEEP.

Ever try decaf, Jim?

You got to tell the whole story. You take that sugar and run down to the galley. The flip is going to give you all the rotten fruit. For a nominal fee. They take baht and rupia which is worthless monopoly money to people from the world. They can get a better exchange rate in the PI than you're going to get.

I am not being racist. Other way around. If you are a cook on a boat, you're a flip. They got that so locked down you could get into a chastity belt quicker. And they don't care if you're white. They take you green and it goes back to the PI where all 600 relatives can live off it.

So ... mix AT's 150% sugar with the fruit and stick it in a bag. Hang it off the rail. Not sure how you do that in these new fangled boats with no rails. On an old LPA it would just be ignored because the deck watch wanted you to share. 2 weeks later? Everyone's wondering how a ship ran over something in the middle of the ocean.

Got to have skills. :)

My older brother, God rest his soul, said, "if you can't stand a spoon up in it, it's not strong enough," and "real men drink their coffee black."

Today sucks. I had only one cup of regular java, and a few cups of decaf. I think I'm having withdrawals!

I'm gonna try as hard as possible to stay with the one cup and wait a few weeks and see if it helps. I've been told I won't see a difference immediately even if I quit entirely. So I'm crossing my fingers.

And YES, the decaf tastes different, I can taste the difference for some reason. Same brand and everything, just one is "half caff" which I normally use, and the new stuff is the same but just decaf.

I hate people that drink decaf.
