The woman clearly said she would not use any such techniques. And yet here's Johnny boy, being a hypocrite... She followed what the law allowed for in her past. Now the law no longer allows for certain techniques, and she immediately stated she wouldn't use them and she would follow the law.

John McCain Trashes Gina Haspel for Endorsing “Torture” of Islamist Terrorists – Forgets He Voted for Brennan Who Has Same “Torture” Record

CIA Director nominee Gina Haspel testified before the Senate on Wednesday on her qualifications to lead the CIA.

During questioning Haspel was grilled on her previous participation in the waterboarding “torture” of Islamist mass killers.

The CIA reportedly waterboarded a handful of top terrorists after the 9-11 attacks and was able to obtain information that broke up several attacks and led the US to Bin Laden.

Democrats and squish Republicans believe this was immoral and a stain on US history.

Haspel refused to apologize for the interrogation methods during questioning.

Senator John McCain later released a statement condemning Haspel after the hearing.

I saw her testimony. Just another parting obstruction from McCain. She was pretty clear on what she said. Yes, we did it the, No, I would not allow it now. End of story.

McCLame just can't help his leftwingnut mindset. "You were a racist in 1953!". Yeah, so was everyone else in 1953, Johnny Boy. He just can't help but f*ck over Republicans. It's in his blood.

Yes McLame has brain cancer, but regardless, whether it's the cancer or what, IDK, but I don't think he's right in the head mentally.

He needs to just STFU and try and part this world with a little dignity, instead of being a dumbass tool spewing his off the wall gas right up to his last breath.

Wonder who the democrat propaganda wing will automatically run to after McLame is dead for some good ole republican bashing from a so called republican? He was there go to guy for many years every time they wanted a republican to bash the republicans.

Rand Paul comes to mind. I like Rand Paul, but when he gets an obstructionist hair up his ass there's no talking to him. He's still NOWHERE NEAR as bad as McLame. And I don't care if McLame has brain cancer as far as the topic is concerned. Relieve him for cause if he is not competent to carry out the duties of his office.

I agree he whould bow the f* out with some dignity.

I’d bet McCain would have been much happier being held by our CIA. He of all people knows how relatively mild our techniques were.

I’d also bet he is very glad that Gina Haspel and our CIA have kept his family safe since 9/11.

He is, for all intents and purposes a failed, antiquated notion (Mr Bi-partisan) long overdue to be put out to pasture, sick or not.

I like Rand Paul too. I follow him on twitter and I agree with him 99% of the time. But there's that 1% of the time when he says something that just makes my skin crawl. I guess far as politicians go though, that ain't too bad...

John McCain was a high ranking Senator back at the time of these events, and I have a hard time believing he wasn't read in on everything. It is the height of hypocrisy for him to give her a hard time about it.

I also would like to hear a CIA report on all the terrorist attacks on America or Europe that were stopped but might have succeeded if he hadn't gotten the information from the "mastermind of 9/11" guy by waterboarding him.

I hate spooks. They lie to their own assets. I have no appreciation for that. I refused to work with them for THAT very reason.

My only reservation with Haspel is she is being promoted from within. That means she's already part of the "company". Things being what they are however, she seems as qualified as anyone else.

Lying to the enemy to win a war in the best interest of the US is fair game. Especially, as Darin says, to save lives. OUR lives though, Pete. Your sympathies for the enemy would get you killed. Which doesn't bother me much except from my POV as a Marine, you would get others killed for being a dumbass, THAT I DO care about.

Like the many democrats that we are now finding out about, who lied repeatedly, and under oath. And you have YET to complain about ANY of them, nor start a single thread. Watching you hack just one side is comical. You have zero interest in the "truth" or justice when it comes to the ENTIRE left, so can your speech about the rule of law, of which you couldn't give a shit about.

If what you say is true about Trump. Then, you also agree he learned the art of LYING from the Democrats he used to hang around with, and while he was a DEMOCRAT.

If Republicans lie...truth is. They learned how to be successful at lying from Democrats.
You can deny it all you want, and you will never be able to prove Trump has lied. Unlike Obama, and nearly EVERY OTHER Democrat past, and present...IN CONGRESS.

The comment some Trump aide made at a meeting about McCain, that "he's dying anyway" might have been in bad taste, but I'm not going to waste any sympathy on John McCain. He's the one that just made a public statement (in a cash-in, make-me-look-good memoir book) that he regrets having chosen Sarah Palin as his running mate in his Presidential campaign. Talk about a low-class put-down remark. Palin is someone that had a good, successful life going and lost a lot to be part of McCain's campaign. Since then, she's been vilified and mocked more than anyone except Trump. McCain never suffered any of that crap, but now he wants to pile on. His behavior is disgraceful.

And McCain's statement was made in a fully public environment - a book. The comment out McCain "dying anyway" was made in a private meeting. The only reason we even heard about it is that someone in the meeting ran to the press and leaked it, intentionally trying to cause problems. I have more problems with the leaker than with the person that said it.

John McCain - Once respectable (despite being a RINO) but now a pathetic disgrace.

McCain's career has been made due to his dishonorable sucking up to the dems and their lib media. He helped the Dems get pushed through many things detrimental to the health, wealth and well being of this nation and did so with pure selfish ambition, greed and forethought.
This truth needs to be stated about him regardless of his condition.
As a dedicated RINO, he viciously stabbed his own party in the back and happily received the praise from its avowed enemies.
I can think of nothing more dishonorable than that.
Such is this dark , deceptive , and greed filled world, that once this man was the Republican nominee for President.
So we must also look at how that farce ever came to be..
And even at that admit he with all his faults, was a far, far better choice than the traitor that defeated him!!!!
Now that is truly a sad, sad state of affairs, IMHO....-Tyr

Now that is truly a sad, sad state of affairs, IMHO....-TyrI tend to disagree there is anything sinister about McLame. I think he actually believes his own hype. To me, THAT makes him FAR more dangerous than if he was just doing it for the money.

Something doesn't click in his brain. "Everyone in my own party hates me" should be his first clue. It started out with him selling being open-minded and fair -- an honest and good selling point -- but somewhere along the line it turned into just going against his own party for the sake of it rather than what is in the best interest of the Nation, its people, and/or the GOP.

I think the GOP is full of p*ssies. I can't stand most Republicans. They're almost as dumb as Democrats. The GOP gets my nod for ONE reason: I would rather have a bunch of do-nothings accomplishing nothing in office than a party of fascists re-writing history and law, or just flat ignoring the latter (Obamacare, DACA, etc) and shoving it down our throats.

This is the second time the Republicans have been given the same opportunity since 1996 -- the Presidency AND Congress and they're blowing it again doing nothing. This time around, they'd rather piss on their own party's President than accomplish a goal in the big picture for the betterment of :We, the People."

McLame has turned whatever cause he thought he was for in the beginning into an obstructionist, personal pissing contest between he and a President he doesn't like. He's not the only one. News flash: Liking Trump is not the job. Administrating the Nation is. I didn't hear ANY of these faggot NECONs bitching about Obama trampling the Constitution the way they bitch about Trump trying to do the right thing the right way. In perspective when I say I don't like Trump personally, I could bury Obama. I loathe THAT unamerican POS.

People like McLame need to get with the program or go.
