UPDATED (http://www.oann.com/iran-israel-on-collision-course-according-to-middle-east-expert/#) 11:11 AM PT — Thurs. May 10, 2018Tension between Israel and Iran are building as the Jewish State ramps up military operations on the border with Syria.
After Israel’s response to an unsuccessful Iranian rocket attack from within Syria, some say the two nations are the brink of war — a war which could engulf the region.
Middle East expert Efraim Inbar said Israel and Iran are on a collision course, but the situation ultimately depends on the Islamic Republic’s next moves.
“The Iranians will have to decide what they want to do in Syria,” explained Inbar. “It is clear that Israel is determined to prevent an additional missile arsenal being accumulated.”
Inbar went on to say Iran is weaker, and their recent attempts to launch missiles into Israel may be due to fears of an American military intervention in the region.
Meanwhile, Russia is calling on Israel and Iran to exercise restraint following recent attacks by both countries.
On Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed concerns regarding the overnight attack on dozens of Iranian targets, describing it as “an alarming development.”
During a press briefing in Moscow, Lavrov said Russia has called on both countries to refrain from taking any steps that may provoke further conflict.
This comes after Russia has warned Israel to avoid any actions that could be seen as provocative.
“We believe that all issues must be resolved through dialogue,” said Lavrov. “During our multiple contacts with the leadership of both Iran and Israel, including during yesterday’s meeting between Putin and Netanyahu, we underlined the necessity of avoiding any actions that might be seen as mutually provocative.”
He added, the Russian military is closely investigating last night’s incident and will release any details leading up to the strikes.

F*ck Putin. This won't be a proxy war if he sticks his nose in on the side of Iran. There are Russian know-it-all's all over the tube talking restraint and Putin warned Israel. Whatever. Israel isn't going to let Iran build up a force in Syria. Get over it.

If Putin is so concerned about the eggs being dumped from his basket in his little satellite, Syria, maybe he needs to tell Iran to GTFO? Seems to me Iran is the one that is where it shouldn't be.
