OAN NewsroomUPDATED 9:50 AM PT — May 13, 2018Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen cautions if the summit between President Trump and Kim Jong-Un fails, the chance of a conflict will increase (http://www.oann.com/mullen-chance-of-military-conflict-increases-if-summit-talks-fail/#).
In an interview today, Mullen said he was concerned if the talks failed, the likelihood of options are ‘dramatically reduced to potential conflict,’ adding it’s a ‘huge worry.’
While cautious, Mullen said President Trump deserves credit for (http://www.oann.com/mullen-chance-of-military-conflict-increases-if-summit-talks-fail/#) setting up the upcoming historic summit, saying the president ‘moved the needle.’
President Trump will be the first sitting U.S. president to meet (http://www.oann.com/mullen-chance-of-military-conflict-increases-if-summit-talks-fail/#) with a North Korean leader on June 12.
