Washington, D.C.- Emerald Robinson, Chief White (http://www.oann.com/sarah-sanders-says-presidents-words-on-ms-13-not-strong-enough/#) House (http://www.oann.com/sarah-sanders-says-presidents-words-on-ms-13-not-strong-enough/#) Correspondent
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says that she doesn’t think that the term the President used was “strong enough” when he referred to MS-13 gang members as “animals” during a meeting with California local officials. During a roundtable discussion in the Cabinet Room of the White House, the President listened to California leaders that included local supervisors, sheriffs, mayors, and other officials concerning their pushback against their state’s sanctuary laws to protect undocumented immigrants.
During the conversation, Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims stated that because of California sanctuary city laws, “there could be an MS-13 gang member I know about, if they don’t reach a certain threshold, I cannot tell ice about them.” The president responded by saying, “You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people, these are animals, and we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before.”
However, many media outlets played the response out of context without Mims original statement. Liberal print outlets wrote that Trump lashed out at “undocumented immigrants,” leaving out the MS-13 label. In Thursday’s briefing, journalists fired questions at Sanders suggesting that the President had called all illegal immigrants “animals”
“If the media and liberals want to defend MS-13, they’re more than welcome to. Frankly, I don’t think the term the president used was strong enough,” said the Press Secretary pushing back on questions by reporters suggesting the President used a racially derogative term. “It took an animal to stab a man 100 times and decapitate him and rip his heart out,” added Sanders referring to a crime committed by the gang which originated in Los Angeles with Central American immigrants in the 1980’s. The gang has been responsible for dozens of gruesome murders in the U.S.
Sanders did not back down from the Administration’s position and also stated that the President is still committed to securing the border. In light of a potential immigration plan that the President would support, Sanders says the Administration and the President still stand behind the four pillars outlined earlier in the year: creating a path to citizenship for Dreamers, securing the border, eliminating the diversity visa lottery (http://www.oann.com/sarah-sanders-says-presidents-words-on-ms-13-not-strong-enough/#), and limiting family-based immigration.
The President’s meeting and controversy about his language (http://www.oann.com/sarah-sanders-says-presidents-words-on-ms-13-not-strong-enough/#) come as several moderate Republicans are pushing for a floor vote on immigration. House Speak Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) tried to dissuade Republicans from signing a measure that would force an immigration vote in a close-door meeting on Wednesday. Ryan and fellow congressional Republican Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Cali.) met with President Trump at the White House Tuesday evening to discuss immigration ahead of the 2018 mid-terms. Ryan and the White House are said to be working on an alternative immigration plan.

What a surprise. The leftwing media took Trump's statement out of context. Can't imagine how THAT happened

Trump loves it.I don't. More often than not, we get our news from various sources. Then we have to go look it up to find out what's actually going on in what context.

I don't like the title of THIS article and OANN is unabashedly pro-Trump. I think they could have done a little better than make it look like Sanders is disputing what the President said because that is not the case.

Trump loves that the dems and media have misquoted him and defended MS-13. He keeps baiting them into stupidity. Or simply draw it out.

The democrats are saying MS-13 are not animals: I'll post the tweetsThat's not misquoting Trump though. That is disputing what Trump said about MS-13. They are definitely animals. Should be treated as such too.

The misquote is that Trump called ALL illegal aliens "animals" by leaving out the MS-13 label and that he was speaking specifically about them.

I wonder if chucky Schumer has ever referred to the Waffen SS as anything other than "human".

To say otherwise apparently means all Germans are animals.

^^ Awesome ^^

I truly admire and enjoy Sarah.

And both she and Trump are making lib heads explode, because no matter what they throw at Trump, they shrug it off and tell the people directly via Twitter what the true story is.

:laugh:I think she's pretty cool. I could never have a GF like that. Talk about WWIII. The unstoppable force meets the immovable object

One thing that stands out above everything else to me is she is, IMO, pretty homely and unattractive. Her attire is rather plain. A regular person. She was obviously hired based on ability. Kind of a breath of fresh air in the media.

The same with the women who do the news on OANN. There are a couple of attractive ones, depending on taste ( I don't like Barbie dolls), but they're for the most part just regular people. One of the gals sounds like a mouse and most of them get tongue-tied at one point or another and flub their lines, but I think that's cool. They're not talking down to anyone nor in a fashion show. You can tell they wear their own clothes.

The networks are too busy running a popularity contest and playing partisan politics to pay attention to actual news and the truth.
