President Trump is doubling down on his claims there was no collusion between his 2016 campaign and Russia. He is accusing Democrats of using the Russia investigation to undermine his presidency.
While speaking to reporters outside the White (http://www.oann.com/president-trump-im-not-above-the-law-no-reason-to-pardon-myself/#) House (http://www.oann.com/president-trump-im-not-above-the-law-no-reason-to-pardon-myself/#) Friday, the president hit back against the media, saying he does not believe he is above the law, however, he does have the executive power to pardon himself.
He added, a self-pardon is not needed because he did nothing wrong.

The president called the Russia probe a total ‘witch hunt’ and suggested that Democrats should be investigated for corruption in reference to the FBI’s alleged mishandling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation and SPYGATE.
“I do have an absolute right to pardon myself, but I’ll never have to do it because I didn’t do anything wrong and everybody knows it,” said President Trump. “There’s been no collusion, there’s been no obstruction — it’s all a made up fantasy, it’s a witch hunt.”
The special counsel’s Russia investigation entered its second year last month, and has so far cost taxpayers around $17 million.

I wonder how many heads would just burst off the shoulders of Dems/lefties if he came out and said I pardoned myself. No need for further waste of taxpayer dollars?

While he may be able to pardon himself, he could STILL be impeached and removed from office.

Removing a president has proven to be quite difficult.

Removing a president has proven to be quite difficult.Andrew Johnson missed the axe by ONE vote. Congress STILL legislated him right into powerless.

I think Nixon would have been removed had he not resigned first.

No.

Probably. I'm not sure what for, especially compared to the BS politicians pull now. Was a different era. Republicans were actually conservative and the Dems were just then embracing pussy-ness. Nixon was a Megalomaniac. If there was a way he could have kept his crown, he'd have tried.

The real kicker? He'd make a perfect Democrat. He introduced more big government BS than LBJ.
