Rubio: Media ‘Attacked Trump for Leading Us Towards War,’ Then ‘For Being Too Quick for Peace’

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) blasted the liberal media’s “incredible hypocrisy” by contrasting their treatment of President Barack Obama’s meetings with hostile world leaders with their coverage of President Donald Trump’s denuclearization meeting with the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un.

First, media accused Trump of provoking war, then then they attacked him for pursuing peace, Rubio said in a Tuesday Twitter post:

“Presidents meeting with #KJU exposed incredible hypocrisy of many in media. When Obama did these things he was described as enlightened. When Trump does it he is reckless & foolish. 1 yr ago they attacked Trump for leading us towards war, now attack for being too quick for peace”

In another post, Rubio called out the media’s double-standard, citing their lack of criticism of Obama when he reached out to Cuba’s “brutal dictator”:

“I too have concerns about how all this with #NorthKorea will turn out. But I don’t recall all the ‘experts’ criticizing Obama when he met with a brutal dictator in #Cuba who also oversaw a police state & also killed & jailed his opponents. #DoubleStandard”

Not that Rubio, a Cuban-American has a dog in the fight :rolleyes: Cuban Americans STILL want to overthrow the Cuban government.

Essentially, he is correct about the two-faced, leftwingnut media crap. I didn't agree with Trump pushing Un the way he did. He got over and it worked. So far, anyway. Good on him.

I mentioned in another thread CBS was just brutal this morning. You'd have thought Trump signed a deal with Iran to give them nukes and a planeload of cash :)
