What a load of crap. When you remove context from quotes, you betray the intent of the speaker/author.

Did 911 happen on Clintons watch?

Lessee...those most-responsible were allowed to freely leave our observation/custody...AND later planned, produced, and gave the 'go' for the attack under Clinton's watch...you tell me?

There are solid reasons to keep a subject alive instead of killing them at times.

This very well may have been the case.

What do you know about such things?

The TOP TERROR EXPERT in the US said that Bush would not take the subject seriously.

Thats a load of crap.

The 19-page report, prepared by the agency's inspector general, John Helgerson, also says that between 50 and 60 CIA officers knew of intelligence reports in 2000 that two of the Sept. 11 hijackers, Nawaf al-Hamzi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, may have been in the United States. But none of those officers thought to notify the FBI about the potential domestic threat, the report says.

Do you get all HOT and horny blaming Bush for stuff?

Helgerson's report recommended that several top agency officials, including former Director George Tenet, be held accountable for their failure to implement a strategy to dismantle Al-Qaida in the years before the 9/11 attacks.

STILL blaming Bush?

Helgerson's review found neither a "single point of failure nor a silver bullet" that would have stopped the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people. He also concluded that no CIA employees committed any misconduct.

Providing a glimpse of a series of shortfalls laid out in the longer, still-classified report, the summary says:

ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY

U.S. spy agencies, which were overseen by Tenet, lacked a comprehensive strategic plan to counter Osama bin Laden prior to 9/11. The inspector general concluded that Tenet "by virtue of his position, bears ultimate responsibility for the fact that no such strategic plan was ever created."

OSAMA WHO?

The CIA's analysis of Al-Qaida before Sept. 2001 was lacking. No comprehensive report focusing on Bin Laden was written after 1993, and no comprehensive report laying out the threats of 2001 was assembled. "A number of important issues were covered insufficiently or not at all," the report found.

TUG OF WAR

The CIA and the National Security Agency tussled over their responsibilities in dealing with Al-Qaida well into 2001. Only Tenet's personal involvement could have led to a timely resolution, the report concluded.

One thing about you is PAINFULLY obvious to the rest of the free-thinkers on this site: You are completely partisan. You don't seek TRUTH, you seek lies and rumors which confirm your opinions. It's STUPID to think "One Person" was at fault for "Allowing" he 11 September attacks. NOBODY - I mean NO-BODY within our government past or present is the kind of ANIMAL who'd simply through blatant, criminal neglect, or apathy, would choose 'against' doing what it took to stop those Islamic Assholes from blowing up our buildings, and killing people from all corners of the globe.
