Here's what the left doesn't get about America

I was once a proud member of the Democratic party. Better yet, I was a proud supporter of both Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Growing up in the 1990s, I gave President Clinton much of the credit for a period in our history that ushered in balanced budgets, relative peace and security at home, technological wonders like the internet and a nation that seemed on the rise, with limitless opportunity for all.

Around 2011, however, I finally reached the point where I could no longer swallow the radicalized rhetoric coming from the left. The reasons were complex, but there was one thing above all else that planted me firmly in the Republican camp: the left’s need to constantly trash or see America in a negative light.

Whether it was Barack Obama declaring we needed to “fundamentally transform” America, or a liberal activist who once said to me, “This country isn’t exceptional – it’s pathetic” – it was clear to me that, for some reason, many on the left see America as wicked, unholy, and in need of some sort of purification. The election of President Trump has only exacerbated this, with many Democrats now seeing a country that is broken in every sense of the word.

A recent example of this is Senator Cory Booker, D-N.J., the former mayor of Newark and a rising star who many see as having a shot at taking on President Trump in 2020, who declared Friday that he cried “tears of rage” over Trump and that “there’s things that are savagely wrong in this country.”

Hold on. The United States has many problems. Yet I have always believed that the soul of America is grounded in two things: our right, bestowed by the founding fathers, to “the pursuit of happiness,” and the generations of diverse, talented and remarkable Americans who have grabbed hold of that right to create better lives for themselves and their families.

The problem that the Left has with America is a very simple and fundamental one .... ITS SUCCESS.

The US is a powerhouse of a country, a world leader .. the performances, the power wielded, the capacity it has to influence .. the Left hates it all. It could hardly do otherwise. The US is not run on Socialist lines, and yet it manages the success that it does. It teaches the world, every single day, that there's a successful model for a society that defies what they're all about !!

The Left, worldwide, would much prefer that everyone saw THEIR way as the only viable and 'good' way to run a society. The naughty ol' US perpetually proves otherwise.

Wouldn't it be fair to say that, when Obama was in charge, he worked to diminish the US's importance and its pride on the world stage ? Why on earth do you think he bothered ?

Both parties sucks. Just be a free thinking human being. I don't know why anyone buys into either party. Be a liberal without bowing to a machine, be a conservative without bowing to a machine.

That's the easy way out of taking any responsibility for YOUR VOTE, or The Politician you put into office...again, and again.
We all have to come to the moment in time when NOT ALL LIBERALS are radical, and not all CONSERVATIVES are radical.

IT IS OUR FAULT....We have the crooked politician we have. Donald Trump is exposing them...FROM BOTH PARTIES, and both sides HATE HIM for upsetting their Endless POT OF GOLD, WE THE PEOPLE give them every two, four, or six years.
The SWAMP really is FULL of Hypocrites, Radicals, Liars, and Stupid, nearly Illiterate people who are put there by STUPID, ILLITERATE Americans who have been prevented from getting an Honest Education by politicians who DO NOT WANT VOTERS to be knowledgeable. That ruins their political career in a heart-beat.
SO...We only have voters to blame for the CROOKS.
