I was going to go to the hospital to see my dad after school, out of my classroom window, the sun was shining through some white puffy clouds. My windows face south.

I came out to my car, on the north side. Very dark, much worse looking west. Called the nurse, told her to, "Remind my dad I was there for over an hour this morning, weather is too bad, lots of warnings, I'm heading home." She replied, "You better seek shelter, the hospital will not let anyone leave." I heeded the advice and got home around 5. Sure enough, lots of flat roofs gone, that was the first wave-that storm moved at 55mph, with wind gusts up to 75.

Now comes the 2nd wave, slower moving, but lots more lightening and thunder. Winds are rolling. At least another front is expected, but the conditions are such that some could just form.

Hopefully things are 'improving' immediately. However the NWS is looking down the road:

Wow, thinking about weather today and saw one of the 'guests' looking at this thread. Days before my dad died. I forgot about that storm, which caused major damage.
