This is stupid and wreckless. Verizon limited calls while first responders
were working the huge fires near Clear Lake and other areas.

Yeah and Verizon is digging a deeper hole on this issue.

Verizon didn't limit calls, they throttled data speeds, in accordance with the data plan the fire department had purchased. Now once they were emailed and informed "hey we're dealing with an emergency here" they should have removed the throttling for the duration of the emergency I suppose, but the fire department ran out of data on the plan they purchased. And calls were not affected at all.

I've had Verizon for years and years. Always liked them. Never really had one complaint, except that I think cell phones and the calling plans are grossly over priced, but that could be said about all of them.
