This is a very interesting website. It shows ghost towns in all 50 states, and
has some marvelous pictures: http://www.ghosttowns.com/

I've been there... we're you just in Montana, as in you're back in the states?

Am sitting in a hotel room about 1/2 mile from the North Entrance to Yellowstone as I type this :)

Then you're just south of Bozeman. My nephew lives in Bozeman.

The ranch my other nephew worked on was just north of the west gate to Yellowstone, south of Ennis. I was just out there last summer myself.

Much smoke?

Cool :)

No smoke at all. :)

That's odd. My sister said the smoke from fires seems to get worse every year. She lives in Sheridan, about 65 miles west of Bozeman as the crow flies. I'm glad there isn't any now for you. It's a lot prettier when you can actually see the mountains.

I love the pics by the way. I absolutely love to look through the old ghost towns in Montana, and there's a lot of them in that state. Many that aren't even listed. You just run into groups of old cabins up in the mountains, most are old mining camps.

Some of the best are in that website I posted: Colorado, Nevada, Montana, and California.
...and the contributors add some history of them when possible, too.
