Some of the things I've seen stated and some actions from them over the years.... :cuckoo:

I've got to be one of the largest animal lovers on earth, most of you know that. But at some point you have to just stop and STFU. A fucking memorial for dead lobsters killed in a traffic accident? What's next, a memorial for the millions of bees that got away in an accident, maybe a memorial for all of the bugs killed over the years by destructive windshields? Sorry, some of these folks are sick in the head.

BRUNSWICK (WGME) -- The Maine Department of Transportation has denied a request from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to build a 5-foot tombstone memorial where lobsters may have died after a crash on Route 1 in Brunswick last week.

Brunswick Police say a Cozy Harbor Seafood truck, carrying nearly 70 crates of lobster, rolled over and crushed several of them.

It is because of the lobsters that were pinned under the truck that PETA wrote a letter to the Maine DOT on Wednesday asking for permission to put up a memorial.

“Countless sensitive crustaceans experienced an agonizing death when this truck rolled over and their bodies came crashing down onto the highway," PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said. "PETA hopes to pay tribute to these individuals who didn't want to die with a memorial urging people to help prevent future suffering by keeping lobsters and all other animals off their plates."

The Maine DOT says they denied the request Thursday because Route 1 in Brunswick is a “controlled-access highway,” which means they prohibit signs, and in this case a tombstone, because of safety concerns.

We have been waiting for PETA to go to court, and demand that anyone who creates ROADKILL, or GOES FISHING..., and catches any living things from the Ocean, or any of the many lakes in the Area....should be fined.
Not to mention...all of the NAVY ships who enter, and leave port daily...Intentionally Using Their Propellers to CHEW UP, and KILL unseen swimming animals in the Bay, or Hampton Roads area.

We must not forget the old adage as well, when it comes to the SERIOUSNESS of PETA.

"If, while any of us are walking. We happen to accidentally MURDER insects that crawl on the sidewalk, or, while protecting ourselves with ROACH, ANT, and BUMBLE BEE sprays...we break PETA's rules...and not report immediately to them. We should all be placed in PETA jails."

Actually...Using the letters PETA...is Politically Incorrect. The letters should be PITA...FOR PAIN IN THE ASS!

Anyone want to object to this...Call PETA's Office....at..

If an animal is in imminent danger, please contact your local police department immediately. If your local police department is unresponsive, call PETA immediately—day or night—at 757-622-7382, option 2. Or you may contact PETA by filling out our Report Cruelty to Animals form.

And for many decades now, I have been meaning to raise holy hell about bruised apples. O' how they must have suffered!!! ;)
But each time my heart so,so, so dearly and sorely grieves, I begin to think about my mom's apple pies and the love she put into them to
fed and please her many children--
sadly with that in mind , comes this logical and common sense thought -
fkk the damn lobsters! And the utterly insane and moronic vermin wanting to give lobsters a tombstone..-Tyr

Total stupidity and ignorance. I do not condone abuse of critters, but these huggers take it too far.
I was a hunter until my back and knee betrayed me, but never was a 'killer' of deer, Elk, turkeys, squirrels,
rabbits, or ducks. just for the sheer sport. I still cast for trout and l, preferring to release rather than eat.
