Specifically, the borough San Pedro Garza Garcia is first class. With it's glass skyscrapers, suit-and-tie pedestrians all about, the feel is absolutely upscale. Premier restaurant chains such as The Capital Grille serve their customers at a third of what you would pay in the US. There are fine French restaurants, Brazilian steakhouses as well as gourmet implementations of Mexican food. There are top of the line hotels such as the NH Collection or the Safi Royal Luxury Towers for $70 to $100 per night. A comparable place in Dallas would cost $250. The mountains circling the city add a special charm. It's really difficult to get tired of Monterrey.
