Probably not going to happen out here in Podunk, WI. We don't have any characters like that around here, and he'd stick out like a sore thumb knocking on someone's front door.

But if I lived back in the city, I'd probably answer my door every time with my Taurus, Raging Bull .44 mag hidden behind my back.

I don’t open the door, period. Family knows the combination, so unless I’m expecting you, you can knock all day. Special exception for delivery guys I’m expecting.

I always have a gun by my doors. Usually loaded with snake shot though. All my doors are glass so can see who it is before they knock or ring doorbell. This time of year its mostly Amazon deliveries. No one just wanders up a mile driveway to our door so they better have legit reason to be on the property.

I have a pistol by the front and back door. The .44 mag by the front and the .45 Long Colt by the back, both loaded with hollow points. Take either one of those rounds and you'll need a pine box. Even if I wing ya, you'll bleed to death before anyone can save you.
