Decide the elections. There are technically 5 areas that can basically decide the election if they were to get their way.

Nolte: Tyrannical Democrats Introduce Bill to Kill Electoral College

Desperate to bring the Tyranny of the Majority to our representative democracy, on the first day Democrats assumed control of the House of Representatives, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) submitted a bill to kill the electoral college.

“In two presidential elections since 2000, including the most recent one in which Hillary Clinton won 2.8 million more votes than her opponent, the winner of the popular vote did not win the election because of the distorting effect of the outdated Electoral College,” Cohen said in a press release. “Americans expect and deserve the winner of the popular vote to win office. More than a century ago, we amended our Constitution to provide for the direct election of U.S. Senators. It is past time to directly elect our President and Vice President.”

Democrat frustration over losing the presidency when they won the most votes is certainly justified. But it is also their own fault. If these triggered snowflakes would get over their Red State prejudices and dare to live amongst us, that influence might flip enough states. But they refuse to. These snobby bigots find Middle America icky, so they cower together in coastal and big city bubbles.

It's freshmen week in Congress. All of the kooks are going to throw ridiculous crap out there for the notoriety, knowing they're going nowhere.

What the 2000 and 2016 election results are telling these knuckleheads is that their peers aren't as bat-shit crazy and the knuckledragging, drooling dem voters.

They already steal elections. Now they want to steal the whole process

Hmmm... silly me... here all this time I thought America was a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, not a representative democracy.

We recited the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE when I was a kid, and never once do I recall saying... "and to the DEMOCRACY, for which it stands"... we always said... "and to the REPUBLIC, for which it stands."

The Electoral College is a guard against mob rule. Of course the piece of shit dems want it eradicated. Because they know with the liberal and totally corrupted mainstream media they can convince ignorant voters to vote for them as those totally ignorant voters (so many of them black) vote for the government freebies that they give and believe their damn lies. They destroyed public education to get millions of voters(especially young voters and their pet illegals) that are clueless and not much smarter than a damn brick and have faith in that utter stupidity giving them power.
Democrats are ffing maggots in my opinion. To me, little Petey boy, is a perfect example of that.. --Tyr

Anyone who lives in Upstate New York can tell you just how bad an idea popular elections are.

Up here, our governor is chosen by New York City and Long Island. We have no electoral college when it comes to choosing our governors.

The result? All of our governors have taken care of NYC and forgotten about Upstate. NYC is where their base is and Upstate tends to vote Republican.

The result has been utter economic devastation for the Upstate

Interesting that Brietbart consider Hillary’s popular vote win to be factual, and worthy of grievance to those who would of preferred her as president.

This is a weird sort of sentiment, as a corollary how many Trump supporters here who live in ‘red states’ would move to a ‘blue state’ if you thought it would increase the chance of a second trump term?

Yup... as a Long Island resident I agree... NY State should have it's own Electoral College on a county by County basis. Manhattan should have no more influence than any other county in the state... same goes for Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.... 1 county... one electoral vote...

NY has been ruled by the mob for years... Time it ends before we become Baltimore, Detroit or St. Louis.....

If a Democrat candidate had won the EC but lost the popular vote, Democrats would be championing the EC.

They really have no principles.

And of trump had won the popular vote by 3 million but the presidency had been given to Clinton because of the EC the republicans would of been content that the system works as intended.

If this board is of any indication - the EC would still be supported. NO WAY a small region of populated democrats should speak for every state in the end. Again, without 5 cities alone look at how things would change. 5 cities in America shouldn't get to speak for - what I understand is about 89,000 cities/towns. There's damn great reason the EC was built to ensure that wouldn't happen.

But fact is, she didn't, and it's now happened to them twice - RIGHTFULLY - so naturally they would like to abolish it.
