I honestly have no idea at all about whether or not this is true. But if he were that "powerful", enough to get a large enough percentage of votes to kill the first persons chance, then I'm all for it. :)

Good News! Ex-Starbucks CEO and Trump-Bashing Liberal Howard Schultz to Run for President as Independent in Spoiler for Democrats

Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced on Sunday he is running for President as an Independent candidate in a spoiler role for Democrats.

Schultz is a frequent critic of President Donald Trump. He stands for open borders, higher taxes and abortion.
He will be the perfect spoiler candidate to ensure President Trump is reelected in 2020.

Politico reported:

Schultz, the former Starbucks CEO, says in a 60 Minutes interview already recorded but airing on Sunday that he is thinking very seriously about a presidential run—but he stops short of a full announcement.

He makes clear, however, that if he moves forward, he will do so as an independent.

Already top Democratic operatives working for presidential candidates and beyond say they’re worried that the only thing he’ll accomplish is making sure Donald Trump gets re-elected. It’s more than just sniping at a prospective opponent; word that he might invest in an independent run has many of them clearly worried about how he’d split votes in a general election.

Castro: Schultz running for president would give Trump 'best hope of getting re-elected'

Washington (CNN)Democratic presidential candidate Julián Castro said Sunday that should former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz run for president as an independent, he would give President Donald Trump the "best hope of getting re-elected."

Last week, CNN reported that two people familiar with Schultz's thinking said the businessman is exploring a 2020 presidential run as an independent. After he stepped down from his position at Starbucks last year, Schultz said at the time that he may consider a White House bid.

"I have a concern that if he did run, that essentially, it would provide Donald Trump with his best hope of getting re-elected," Castro, the former secretary of Housing and Urban Development, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."

"Just the other day, there was a fairly comprehensive poll taken that showed, essentially, right now, that the President has a ceiling of about 41% or 42% in terms of support for him no matter which Democratic candidate they polled against him," Castro said. "So his only hope -- if things stayed the same, and that's a big if -- is essentially to get somebody else, a third party, to siphon off those votes. And I don't think that that would be in the best interest of our county."

"I would suggest to Mr. Schultz to truly think about the negative impact that that might make," Castro added.
