Well, this is an easy decision, build a wall to help protect America, with ZERO downside, or have every American family household go nearly broke.

Poll: Majority of Americans Favor a Border Wall over a Green New Deal

A majority of Americans would rather have a wall sealing America’s southern border than the Green New Deal, according to a poll released on Wednesday.

Fifty-one percent of Americans say that they would rather have a border wall on America’s southern border, compared to 31 percent who say that they want a Green New Deal, according to a poll released by Remington Research Group.

Republicans said that they would prefer a border wall by a 68-point margin, while Independents said that they would prefer a border wall by a two-to-one margin.

Overall, a majority of Americans, or 51 percent, said they oppose a Green New Deal, 51 percent of Democrats support the radical environmental program, while Republicans and Independents overwhelmingly oppose Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) idea outright.

Titus Bond, president of Remington Research Group, said Democrats face an uphill battle trying to convince Republicans and Independents to back the Green New Deal while still trying to appeal to their base. Bond said:

The Green New Deal has presented an interesting situation for Democrats. Democratic voters support this legislation, while the rest of the country overwhelmingly opposes it. It will be intriguing to watch Democratic leaders and presidential hopefuls navigate this issue with their base while still appealing to mainstream voters.

The Remington survey found that Americans overwhelmingly oppose a single-payer, federal government healthcare system.

The survey arises as one study conducted by the American Action Forum (AAF) revealed that Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal might cost as much as $93 trillion over the next ten years, which would cost over four times the national debt. Breitbart News also found that the Green New Deal would pay for over 3,700 border walls.

“The Green New Deal is clearly very expensive,” AAF said in its report. “It’s further expansion of the federal government’s role in some of the most basic decisions of daily life, however, would likely have a more lasting and damaging impact than its enormous price tag.”

“Q6: If you had to choose, would you rather the United States government spend $5 billion to fund a border wall, or $7 trillion to fund the Green New Deal?
Border wall: 51%”

Idk about you guys but I would of expected the border wall option to of been much more popular than 51% against the Green New Deal?

also
“The poll surveyed 1,212 registered voters nationwide.”
It was a really small survey, not even 25 people per state.

This is being promoted in the media as Trump's wall, therefore evil to its' core. If it was promoted as Obama's wall the approvals would be in the 90% range.

I don’t think trump is that unpopular, but maybe.

Not with the general public but definitely with the people who report such things.

Was it not the general public that were polled in the OP?

Was it not the general public that were polled in the OP?

Yes, the same general public that gets the majority of their information from the media that serves as the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

Stay in the UK and fix that mess, Punk.

You try to preach to us all of the time. Your 66 million population cannot compare to our 330 million.

Fix your own train wreck first, then tell us what to do.

But the polls were tainted by the FAKE NEWS enthusiasts who dare call themselves smart. Until they are identified as MELTING SNOWFLAKES.

That's a LOT of dumbasses.

What will this poll look like in 20 years when millennials are the majority of who is being interviewed.

$7 trillion?

The New Green Wet Dream is projected to cost more like NINETY THREE TRILLION. It would bankrupt America, period, end of story, not to mention RUIN us, immediately. It's the DUMBEST "plan" to ever come out of an elected person. But we are talking about a 29 year old BARTENDER that's behind it. No one said she was very SMART.

In fact, people are getting a real ear full of AOC, and beginning to see just how IGNORANT she really is. But she's dangerous, and she's making a LIST. She's not going to let those old timer democrats push HER around, oh no... if they disagree with her, she's taking names and they're going to be PRIMARRIED OUT... so yep, the democrats have quite the internal strife going on right now.

In 20 years. If the Millennials, and Socialists all get their way. China, and Russia will be holding Garage sales in our major cities, trying to get back all the Trillions the Socialists had to borrow to afford feeding all of those SNOWFLAKES...in the bread lines, without power, and using pencils to communicate with the Socialist Govt.

Let’s see

Building a wall using proven technologies and costing several billion dollars. The effectiveness of border walls has been demonstrated

vs

Totally reinventing the entire American economy on the basis of technology whose ability to scale upwards has not been demonstrated. The cost is $40 Trillion dollars. Also the timeframe (10 years) is based on the presumption that climate change will kill us in 10 years....where that comes from has never been explained. Besides, what does free college and Medicare for all have to do with climate change?

Now I have to ask that in light of these facts, how is an approval rating relevant? I don’t care if 51% of Americans believe in unicorns, that does not make them real.

This Green New Deal is just a thinly veiled attempt at a total overthrow of the American Constitution. It should be considered a threat to National Security and its cosponsors should be thrown in prison for treason.

When asked how the Green New Deal will be paid for,AOC lectures us on morality instead of facts. That’s rich, considering that her party stands for infanticide, has at least two anti-semitic members in Congress, has knowingly perpetuated a lie about Russian Collusion, exacerbates racial tensions.... I think you get my point.

When asked how the wall would be funded, President Trump first tried working with Congress, then when that did not work, he invoked the Emergency Powers Act of 1976. An act that authorizes him to declare a national emergency and seek funding without Congress’s approval.

Seems like an easy choice to me
