Most people forget their dreams and I've heard a bunch of reasons as to why they are soon forgotten after waking. But I've been having some real vivid dreams lately and I can remember them all very well.

What does that mean?

And no, they aren't pornographic. I'm always interrupted when I get to the good parts and try to fall quickly back asleep to no avail. :(

I've found that if I think about the dream a lot as soon as I wake up, I remember it.

Often I find myself forgetting or editing as I try to recall them. There are FEW dreams I remember more than a week or so - I have one from about 10 years ago involving Elizabeth Hurley, however, I'll hold DEAR to my heart...and other places...forever.

Hmm. It could mean a few things, but I'd pay attention to what you're dreaming about. The answer to your questions are supposed to be in your dreams. Supposedly. :laugh2:

Dreams are highly symbolic. For instance if you're flying around over towns and shit, you have very little stress in your life, but if you're trying to run and can't, you can't get any traction, you have problems that you can't get away from. You can find all kinds of good dream interpretation reading online.

I just had a vivid dream that while I was sleeping, my Dad cut all the hair off the top of my head and left it hanging every where else. I was so pissed I wanted to kick his ass, but, he's my Dad. Can't do that. But I had no choice but to cut the rest of it to match. I believe I had that dream because I sent my family who hasn't seen me for going on three years a picture of me. I've been working out pretty hard so I'm bulked up, and my hair is, well, LONG, and my Dad told me that if I walked down the side walk there in little bum fuck, Wisconsin, ollie ootin' Stoughton where they live, he said, "yeah you'd cause a stir looking like that around here." I had to laugh, but I knew the sentiment was I look like a damn outlaw biker bad ass, and he doesn't like it. So I had a dream where he cuts my hair off. See?

I've been having weird dreams lately.

I think its because I've been drinking warm milk every night to try and help me fall asleep.

The thing I worry about most, is talking out loud while I'm asleep. Like talking while I'm in the dream. I hear other people in my family do it a lot, and I worry that I do it too.

Now the reason I'm worried is because what if I started talking during a part of my dream that was...bad? Maybe sexual?

Last night I dreamed that I was consoling Princess Diana, who was alive and well. I'm not sure what she was upset about, but she was really sobbing on my shoulder. We were in London.

A few weeks ago I had a very weird dream, which gave more than a chuckle to my dad and son.

In the dream I came down the stairs and my dad said, "Did you know that Bryan has maxed out his credit card?" I said, "No, how could that happen? He pays the full amount every month?" My dad said, "I don't know, his limit is only $5k and he spent more than that on restaurants."

I was like whacked! Totally wigged out! Then I said, "Where is B? I need to talk to him about this! I can't bail him out." My dad replied, "He went downtown with L, (his girlfriend), for dinner." I replied, "How? If he's maxed out, he needs to deal with it. He can't be paying for dinners and such." My dad said, "Not a problem, I gave him my card." I was sputtering, "Why would you do such? If he maxed out his cards, why would you give him yours?" (my father was generous, but no one's fool). He replied, "His wasn't working, I knew mine would." I was like a crazy woman, then woke up.

My own interpretation, I was more worried about my own bills and came out with this. My dad always bailed me out, I knew he was sick. My son has been super responsible with credit, doesn't charge restaurants, gas, or food. When he buys something, he pays in full. He works in a bank and is very careful.

Everytime, never had a black and white.

Here is one, ever had a dream where you taste something or feel something that you have never had, then someday you actually had that happen or tasted it and it was the same?

I have, twice. Freaky. One was a taste, one was a feeling mixed with taste, kinda a kinky, so .... the third one is being shot. Haven't been shot so don't know. But I feel a little nervous as the other two have come true to virtually the exact same thing. I mean, I actually felt the bullets enter my back, felt like a sharp sting, then the area around the bullets felt like a cold knife or something like that pierced me, then I woke up. I have had the same dream twice.

I think I remember reading somewhere that our dreams are sort of like our subconscious cleaning out the house from the day's (I use "day" only in the sense of the period between sleeps) events. Apparently we always dream but we only remember the dreams that are leftovers, that indicate that some things still haven't been sorted out.

And then there's "lucid dreaming." I think I've had a few lucid dreams (some would say that's about the limit of my lucidity) but they were interesting experiences. Pity that when I got to the best parts my ability to lucid dream failed me. Oh well.

And then there's the physical need dreams. Like when I've had more than I should have to drink and got an attack of the dries in the night and I dream of going to the fridge and getting cold water to drink and find that no matter how much of the water I drink I'm still thirsty.....I hate that one, I have to wake up and go and have a real drink before I can continue to get some sleep.

I once read that dreams are "confused memories of the future" which if you think about it describes it pretty well. Well at least for me. I usually dream about something that I have on my mind, sometimes positive and sometimes negative, but something I am dealing with. The dream usually addresses the issue but rarely is there a solution to the problems. I think just as someone said before, the brain cleaning house.
