Personally, I've always like the old VW Bugs. I've driven a couple over the years and always found the fun to cruise around in. They're simple and easy to maintain. The older the better for my taste. Same is true for the old micro buses...

My friend had an older model VW Bug. It was neat, and if we put some sandbags
in that front luggage compartment for weight it was great in the snow. As long as
it was not too deep. I would put a bucket of coal cinders in for traction, too.
