On February 2, 2019, the United States, accusing Russia of violating the INF treaty, suspended its participation in the contract and stated that they would withdraw from the agreement after six months.
At the same time, as the representative of the Pentagon Michelle Baldanza reported, the US is ready to testing of the two prohibited by the INF treaty missiles. The tests are planned to be held in the summer of 2019, before the expiration of the agreement on the elimination of medium and shorter-range missiles in August. We are talking about a cruise missile with a range of about 1,000 km, as well as a ballistic missile with a range of 3,000 - 4,000 km.

Moreover, Washington started to develop artillery guns that would be able to shoot at a distance of more than 1600 km. It was said by the head of the Ministry of Army Mark Esper, who stated about a "supergun" that was able to hit targets at a distance of a thousand miles (1600 km). Specialists think that the new American weapon in fact is a medium range ballistic missile. And calling it the "supergun", Washington is trying to avoid of violence of the INF Treaty with Russia.

Thus, the withdrawal from the INF Treaty is needed to the United States for the development of the new weapons. And Washington prepared to it in advance, having worked out the plans for the production of prohibited missiles. According to the Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, the INF Treaty became a "direct step for loosening" of international security and all these actions of the US undoubtedly will entail a new round of nuclear weapons race.

Lots of rhetoric, no links, and arrive here to spam an opinion?

You must be running out of places for your slings and arrows, or
are a returning troll.

A suggestion, if I may: as well as 'treating' us all to what appear to be reports, or essays, on your subject matter (.. and if copied from a publication or website, can we have a link showing us its origin ?) ... could you give us your personal view on what it is you're introducing ?

Let us know your own thinking - a totally clear stance you want to take, devoid of ambiguity about what motivates you to post as you are. Then, not only would this material seem less 'dry', but those reading it would be helped to have a starting-point for a stimulating (?) discussion.

Welcome to this forum, by the way.

We know nothing about you, nor who you are, and you begin by attempting to tell us the U.S. is in violation of an INF treaty that no longer exists...at least, if you ask Putin, since Russia has been in violation for many years.

Care to introduce yourself, and explain why the instant negativity???

What the hell is the "Ministry of the Army"???

This situation has been brewing since Obama's tenure. Kind of an old story really and the Russians developed their own GLCM which many believe violated the treaty (though to be fair, the Russians told the Europeans it did not....and we all know how trustworthy the Russians are!).

Looks like we have another Russian operative on the Board...unless Balu went all transgender on us....

Why do these Russians keep showing up and posting BS about the US? After all, what is their worry? Last I heard from the left/MSM, they already bought the Presidency of the US.

Not sure what the fuss is about:dunno:
