And no happy wishes, not asking and not why I brought up. :)
Lots of memories from this week. 25 years ago me and the wifey were 3 days away from going to St. Lucia to get married. We were due to get married on June 29th but had to be in St. Lucia for a minimum of 3 days before allowing marriage. So off we went! And were not only scheduled to arrive days prior to the marriage, we were also staying 2 more days and leaving on July 1st, my birthday! So at least a portion of my birthday was in St. Lucia!! And the plane ride wasn't horrid, as I was a smoker back then and the backs of some of the planes had separate smoking areas. And we flew back with folks we made friends with while there!
We had to have a best man and maid of honor. My choice was a great gent that worked there, Josiah!! Many great stories from chilling with him. And we met a German couple, Sven and Cordula, and Cordula was her maid of honor. And we had 6 witnesses in total, which were folks we met there that came to be a part of our wedding. I actually met the German couple a year or so later when they came to NYC. So many great folks were there that week. Worked my ass off and finally got my leather Sandals necklace before I left as well! So many stories, but I probably lost folks after the first few sentences. :laugh2:
