View Full Version : Harris Flips A Bit On Last Night's HC Stand

I thought Biden was the best last night, though Democrats didn't, to them Harris was the star. Guess that goes to show I'm not going to be good at picking who will be the Democrat nominee, just looking for which is the very least offensive to me.

I found Harris shrill, mean, and way to left. No wonder she wasn't my pick.

With all that said, I can see what is meant when she's described as 'presidential,' and strong.

So this morning it's good to see that she may have made a blunder, even for the left, going a step too far. It's also the 2nd time she's done it and her attempt to flip is also the same response. For some on the left, could be a deal breaker:

This woman is scary . She recently also said that she would give Congress 100 days to pass a gun law that she liked or she would simply issue an executive order making semi automatic rifles illegal.

She means it. Bernie said, 'day 1 I'll reverse Trump's executive orders...' Those will be the case either 2020 or 2024. Unless Congress is forced to take back its obligations. They won't do it voluntarily.

In any case, if things don't change, which is unlikely as since mid-GW EO seems to be the happy role of Presidents, it's the new norm:

Obama undone: In first year, Trump unravels predecessor's signature achievements
By ERIN DOOLEY Jan 17, 2018, 5:33 AM ET

What started with an executive order signed hours after Trump was sworn into office has become a signature of his presidency so far: undoing the policies of his predecessor.

And perhaps that shouldn't come as a shock. During his historic presidential bid, Trump labeled President Barack Obama a "disaster," a "catastrophe," and "the most ignorant president in our history."

...

Actually writing legislation and getting it passed through both houses; writing and keeping a budge; using charm, threats, compromises, and the bully pulpit are just not done by the Presidents anymore. So much better to write an EO.

The thing about EO's they can be undone the same as done. Trump proved that.

Isn't it funny though that Dems don't even believe THAT since they are suing Trump over his threat to undo DACA. Now what kind of damn fool would you have to be to believe that one President can by EO create DACA but another President can't undo it?

Of course Dems don't REALLY believe that.

You mean she doesn’t even want to “ have a conversation” first? Oooh she’s getting feisty.

DACA wasn't by executive order though, I think that's where it got tricky and even more political:
