Pence suddenly cancels New Hampshire event to stay at White HouseBy Mark Moore July 2, 2019 | 11:51am | Updated

Vice President Mike Pence abruptly canceled a scheduled event in New Hampshire on Tuesday, but his spokeswoman said there was “no cause for alarm.”

“Something came up that required the @VP to remain in Washington, DC. It’s no cause for alarm,” spokeswoman Alyssa Farah wrote on Twitter. “He looks forward to rescheduling the trip to New Hampshire very soon.”

In another tweet, Farah said Pence never left Washington and there was no “emergency callback.”

The White House said Pence’s plane never left the ground in Washington.

And an administration official told reporters covering the White House that the reason was not related to Pence or President Trump’s health or because of a national security matter.

...

Ok, no emergency. They just grabbed him from the airport, said, 'Sorry,' to those already waiting for him in New Hampshire. We'll let you all know why in a few weeks.

Washington (CNN)Mike Pence was supposed to travel to Manchester, New Hampshire, on Tuesday morning to hold an event on the opioid crisis. He never went.

Why? No one knows.

"Something came up that required the @VP to remain in Washington, DC," tweeted Alyssa Farah, Pence's press secretary. "It's no cause for alarm. He looks forward to rescheduling the trip to New Hampshire very soon."

Added Pence chief of staff Marc Short: "It's not a national security issue. ... It's not a personal or family issue."

Which is good! But also, kind of-sort of weird, right?

The plot thickened. Pressed on what was behind Pence's cancellation Short offered only that "there will be more later." Then, when asked what "later" meant, Short added: "Weeks from now."

Whaaaaat?

A Fire Kills 14 Crew Members Onboard Russian Navy Sub
July 2, 20194:21 PM ET

Russia's Defense Ministry said Tuesday that 14 submariners were poisoned by fumes and died after a fire broke out aboard a navy deep water research vessel. The fire began while the crew was surveying the seabed in Russian territorial waters on Monday.

NPR's Lucian Kim reports Russian President Vladimir Putin has dispatched the defense minister to lead the investigation of the accident.

Putin described the stricken vessel as "an unusual submarine" and said seven of those killed were high-ranking naval officers.

Some Russian media outlets, citing military sources, said it was a secret nuclear-powered submersible that can operate thousands of feet deeper than regular submarines.

NPR's Lucian Kim reports from Moscow that the craft has been recovered and is in Severomorsk, the main base for Russia's Northern Fleet on the Arctic Ocean.

"Accidents have plagued the Russian navy," Kim says. "The worst was in 2000, when the Kursk submarine sank, killing all 118 personnel aboard, and creating the first crisis for Russia's new president at the time, Vladimir Putin."

The Kursk submarine was also part of Russia's Northern Fleet.

Kim reports that Putin has canceled a previously scheduled appearance to meet with Russia's defense minister.

According to Sky News, "The Russian navy uses Priz-class and Bester-class deep water vehicles, which have a hull built of titanium and are capable of operating at a depth of 3,281ft (1,000 meters). The blaze marks the deadliest Russian naval incident since 2008, when 20 died when a firefighting system was accidentally initiated while the Nerpa nuclear-powered submarine of Russia's Pacific Fleet was undergoing trials."

I suspect all of the hypothetical idea's have nothing to do with what may actually be the meaning of the so-called, Emergency meeting.

Namely: This is a Holiday weekend coming up where ISIS, and other Bad guys have been making noise about a Terrorist attack during the celebrations on the 4TH.

There are all kinds of "WHAT IF's" out there. People developing more Conspiracy garbage to add to their fabrication library.

Suppose...just suppose; We just wait, and see, when they feel like telling us??????

Nah, it's fine to speculate. Pence wouldn't be needed for 'chatter.'

Mystery Solved: Mike Pence’s New Hampshire Trip Was Canceled At The Last Second Because…
ALLAHPUNDITPosted at 11:21 am on July 23, 2019

A letdown, to be honest. I had all my chips on a secret foreign plot to kidnap the vice president.

Extremely unlikely, I know. But remember that American politics is essentially a gonzo television show now. “The vice president gets kidnapped” seems not only plausible but sort of inevitable as a subplot. Although maybe for one of the later seasons, after the writers have run out of marginally more realistic storylines.

Anyway, the solution to the mystery of why Pence had to be pulled off the tarmac before embarking for New Hampshire for an event turns out to be simple: He was walking into a terrible photo op and didn’t know it.

If Pence stepped off the vice presidential aircraft, one of the people he would have seen on the ground was under investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration for moving more than $100,000 of fentanyl from Massachusetts to New Hampshire.

Jeff Hatch, who agreed in federal court Friday to plead guilty and will face up to four years in prison, works for an opioid addiction treatment center in southern New Hampshire that Pence was set to visit. A former New York Giants player, he has spoken publicly for years about his own challenge with drug and alcohol addiction, which ended his football career…

Federal court documents released Friday said Hatch was caught in 2017 with 1,500 grams of fentanyl. A baggie of the drug sold on the streets of New Hampshire is usually about one-tenth of a gram.

Apparently Hatch tried to sell some of the fentanyl to an undercover agent, was nabbed, and then agreed to cooperate with the feds to help them pinch people in his supply chain. He ended up with a slap on the wrist, a four-year prison term according to the plea agreement that was revealed Friday. That’s what Trump meant when he said after Pence’s mysterious cancellation that we’d know in two weeks why he had to skip the opioid event. Evidently that was when the feds planned to reveal Hatch’s plea deal. Until then, the White House couldn’t spill the beans or they’d risk blowing his cover as an informant. They must have only learned of Hatch’s criminal jeopardy at the last second before Pence’s departure.
