Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) questioned why the Trump administration chose to hold a patriotic “Salute to America” celebration in the nation’s capital Thursday when migrant kids on the border, she suggested, do not have access to toothpaste or soap. She also described the successful event as “poorly attended.”

“Trump spent millions on a poorly attended, 1 day parade days after saying he couldn’t afford toothpaste & soap for caged children,” she tweeted Friday, adding that Trump is holding kids “hostage to secure billions for their abusers:”

There are a number of mistruths in the freshman lawmaker’s tweets. Migrants in U.S. custody have access to basic hygienic products. U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Arizona released a video of chief patrol agent Roy Villareal debunking many of Ocasio-Cortez’s past claims. Feminine hygiene products, clothes, water, toothbrushes pre-loaded with toothpaste, formula, and diapers are readily available to those who need them:

See my 'not pro Trump' stance, comes in useful when I can really give him credit. Heck, if he'd get off Twitter and keep all his speeches unifying, I might be able to vote for him in a couple years. Not too worried though. ;)

I really wonder if the reaction to his speech yesterday registers with him? "Hey, there are some that will hate me no matter what I do. Yet, if I just 'say' unifying things, some may move in my direction. Hmm, should I try that?" I'm guessing his answer would be right there with tweets. LOL!

It's a 5.3 mile run around the Lincoln Memorial. 7.9 around the Washington Monument and 11-something to run all the way around the Capitol. That's starting in Ft Myers, running through Arlington National Cemetery and across the Memorial Bridge. So it's roughly 5 miles from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol.

I don't see any blank spots in the pic save for the Reflecting Pool. That is a LOT of f-ing people. I've been there when it's packed like that.

By contrast, when the left is showing its "protest pics" trying to get you to think they've packed the place, you will note that their pics NEVER have a complete pic of the entire Mall. Because they don't have a crowd so they get the shot with the assclowns in front of the Capitol with the Mall to their backs so you can't see it's no more than the usual sightseers outside the immediate vicinity.

Farrakham's Million Man March comes to mind. See anywhere in that pic in the OP you can march 1M people? Didn't happen.
