I think this is cool. Like we might say someone “has their head in the clouds”.
In fact, Lyft =Air, and Mensch = Human. But the Germans are really good at using one word to describe a complex thought or situation. Think “schadenfreude”, I.e.

Not sure where you are going with this, but yes, it is probably the very waning of her “business or income” that led her to run for office, lol.
