I notice the dramatic rise in additions to that network, post-Soviet era ! Did getting rid of that regime do wonders for entrepreneurialism ?

We Brits also have something to be proud of, when it comes to our London Underground system. I note that the beginnings of our own preceded yours by a significant margin .... ours started with the Metropolitan Railway, back in the 19th century.

You see, much of our network had already been built by the time construction started on yours, Balu !

In my lifetime, two lines were added .. the Victoria Line (1960's) and the Jubilee Line (around 1980 on, I think ..).
